I finally went and read the new clubhouse in detail. I found it neat to see a mention of animator Harry Holt in the Korner part of the clubhouse. My hubby and I have several personalized drawings from him that we got in Main Street back before we were married that are now framed. My particular fav? Cindy. It is from the trip where hubby asked me to marry him in the castle.

Anyone else have drawings from him? He was a very friendly man, reminded me of my granddad. :)

We also have a drawing by Harry Holt- although our circumstances weren't nearly as memorable :).

We collect Disney animation cels and have Harry's drawing framed and hanging with the rest of the collection.

It was fun to read the "Donald Loves Daisy" essay with Harry's name mentioned. Our drawing is of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.

Thanks for reminding us!

I have a couple of these, each dedicated to one of my DD's . I thought he was a very nice chap, although he was pretty busy when he was doing the drawing he managed a little chat with each person.

Does anyone know his bio? Years back I tried to search what projects he worked on for Disney and came up with a few, but have since forgotten what they were.

Someone had told me he passed away a few years back. I recall going to see him one trip and he was no longer there and I was so bummed... :(

He really appeared to enjoy what he was doing.

From Dave Smith's "Disney A to Z":

Holt, Harry Animator; He joined Disney in 1936 and remained until 1956. A few years later he returned as a sculptor and art director for WED Enterprises. Her reitired in 1982, but beginning in mid-1987 he staffed an animatotr's desk, doing drawings for park guests, for several years in the Walt Disney Story exit lobby in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

We also have one of his drawings of the Disney Gang. Just noted the date of 032790.

We also collect Disney art, a few cells, lots of pencil animation drawings, some limited editions of Mickey, Marc Davis's work, Randy Sauders prints, etc. Ran out of wall space.

Also have an original oil of Alfred E. Newman by Al Feldstein.

I'm pretty sure he worked on Bambi and Lady and the Tramp, not sure on which others, but I think it was quite a few.
