Kris, I'm so sorry that you have been given something else to worry about! It's good that Steven will be treated for his back pain now. Praying that the brace will help and surgery can be avoided. I'm hoping the doctor was wrong and it's not that bad.

When it rains, it pours.... there is a lot on your plate and I can imagine that it is overwhelming.... I am really hoping that Steven only needs a brace...although that is a very difficult path. Just take it one day at a time...that is all that anyone can do.... I'm so sorry, but on a positive note...you know what it is and can make informed decisions in regards his care...

Thinking about you guys, I really hope everyone is on the mend soon. I hope the back brace helps him feel better so he can avoid surgery. I'm sorry so much is going on right now, you sound very overwhelmed.

Kylee update,
She is doing much better. She is still drained from being sick, but overall doing well. She is suppose to going down and having another KUB done to see where we are on the poop department. I have a feeling we still have some in there. If she is all cleaned out..we will start up her feeds today and go home tomorrow. If she still has stool..we will continue what we are doing and don't get to go home. I'm missing my family. Sad that last night I had to miss Kyra's theater performance. Thankfully Scott and Kerri went. Today is her last performance. She wants to be an actress and I think she will be great at it. She is my little drama queen.

I know the saying is that God doesn't give you more than you can handle, but I think he did. Steven has been complaining his back has been hurting for a few months. He had a Ped appt this morning and Scott took him. He mentioned this to the doctor and she looked at his spine and she was stunned. She said he had severe scoliosis. She said she wouldn't be surprised that it wasn't a 45 degree curve. She is putting an urgent referral to see an Ortho doctor. The Ped said he will most likely end up in a brace for 1-2 years or have surgery done. I'm not sure how much more I can take.

Oh honey, I'm so sorry! I hope the brace will help! I'm sorry you missed Kyra's performance too!

Not happy that we are going home without another plan, but what can you do. We will most likely be admitted one more time before our trip to make sure she is cleaned out, so that she can have a fun time and not be in pain...or we don't have to visit a Florida's hospital.

YAAAY!!! BUUUUT, I think you really need to try and find another Dr to try and get to the bottom of this. This in and out of the hospital is NOT good for her, nor is it good for your family. Its not an answer to her issues, nor is it going to help her long term. She and you guys, need an answer to keep her feeling good. I am very frustrated for you, and I don't think its right that she is going through this at all.

Taylor has one more week of chemo before our trip, she is not happy about it but she knows that a week after that we will be going to WDW

I'm going to call our case worker and see if we can see a GI in Cleveland. They have the #1 GI/motility team.
