Korissa's Magical MAW/GKTW PTR....4 HUGE Big Give (2-18-11)..page 40

It looks like it was a lot of fun at the CPK camp, We should have gone I was just too concerned about the heat, next year we will have Katlyn's cooling vest and hopefully will be able to go.

It was hot but with cooling vest i think she would of been fine. All the crafts were in the shade. It was only the bouncy thing and rock wall in the sun. I only like Kylee do the bouncy thing twice and she she the rock wall towards the end. Plus we had our share of snow cones to cool off...lol

Oh so not looking forward to my girls getting to that age!!!!!!!! Unfortunately I can see me possibly needing Elyssa to get hers right away so she can get to school when Katlyn has Dr. apt and such, and I'm sure she will be involved in EVERYTHING! But then again she gets so distracted so easily that the though of her driving is terrifying. Kerri seems to have a good head on her head though so I can see her being a good safe driver.

You have a long time to think about this...lol.. Kerri is doing well. Just needs to learn to stop easier and not make such wide turns.

BTW...Have you call Neuro to see if he/she did the paper work yet?

Looks like it was a fun party! Our chapter of Starlight Foundation is in Phoenix (over two hours away) so we have had to pass on most of the invites we've received. I'm hoping they will have something down by us or on weekends when we can make the drive.

We too usually drive to get to an event. This one was almost a 2 hour drive to get there.

Just checked out your pics! Very nice! It looks like everyone was having a great time!

You guys got to meet some celebrities too!!! AWESOME! :thumbsup2

I believe we have dates.:cool1: She said it will differently be in March and she doesn't see why the dates we picked would be a problem. I'm just saying we are going to Disney World March 20 through 26th at GKTW and then find somewhere for 3 days. Does anyone have a place they stay offsite? Somewhere kind of cheap, but nice. We will need a suite since their will be 7 of us..though I always say 6 since Kylee will sleep with us.

Ugh...My ticker makes it so long before our trip:eek: So glad I have this board to keep my sanity.

Sanity always comes in Handy But, Um what's it mean? I shall ponder the idea of googling that one!!!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I have no clue. When you find out let me know, because right now..my sanity is gone. I have the gray hairs to prove it:rotfl: Thankfully all of you will make this time go faster.

For those three days...

One thing I would think is that you guys should check out staying onsite as you do the math for how much it will cost ya.

For example - at some points during the year it is cheaper for me to stay at a value resort, use Disney transportation (saves me in car rental) and I can take the Magical Express back to the airport. It also allows a family to split up easily because one or two family members can just hop on the bus to get back to the resort. As a plus, it is also "Disney" happy and you will probably need some Disney happy after your GKTW part - it is sad to leave GKTW.

But, if you are looking for a spot off site - you may be able to find a great deal...Check www.mousesavers.com - they usually have good deals as you closer to the day. Some of the deals include breakfast and you can get a suite style room for less than a hundred dollars a night.

I also highly recommend www.tripadvisor.com - they rank hotels and you can find a cheap one that regular people rank and comment on to stay in.

One thing I am wondering, though, is what are you planning to do those 3 days? For example...are you planning to stretch out your free tickets to the point that they will last you the whole time? GKTW can get more free tickets to things like the Space Station, Gatorland, and maybe the water parks...if you wanted to try to get more stuff in...OR are you planning on adding Disney days?

We may do IOA after GKTW. I know we want to go to the beach one day. If it's warm...a waterpark. So much to do. I know about the special thing you get after GKTW, so we can see what's in there. We will still need the rental Van so we can drive our self. I'm going to look into all option. If we can stay on site that would be great. I know the last time we stayed at Staybridge Suites and that was really nice. I had know someone that went on a wish trip before us and she gave us the code to get a discount....plus a portion of the money went to GKTW...which I like. I will look at all the links you provided...Thank you!!!

AWESOME!!!!!! You should have nice weather that time of year! Think mid-70's!! :yay::yay:

Maroo gave you some good ideas of where to stay... depending on what you want to do during those days. Make sure you sign up for the mousesavers.com news letter. It is sent out on the 15th of the month and they usually have special hotel rates in there.

I also need to find a hotel for 2 nights after we check out of GKTW. Since my family wants to spend time at US/IOA, SeaWorld and a trip to the ocean, I have been researching hotels near Universal. I have narrowed my hotel selection down to either Hyatt Place, Four Points or Comfort Suites. They all are about $100 a night for my trip in October. I don't dare bid on any rooms because of the cancellation policies.
