Korissa's Magical MAW/GKTW PTR....4 HUGE Big Give (2-18-11)..page 40

Kylee was admitted to hospital last night. We will be here on Christmas:( I have never been away from family on a holiday. We maybe discharged on Monday. They are starting a new Med while inpatient.

Just getting back on the Dis after a holiday break and was so sorry to see that you and Kylee had to spend the holiday in the hospital and that you are still there. Thinking of you and I hope you both are home really soon. I bet dreaming of a week filled with pixie dust sounds pretty great after all this time in the hospital! Take care.

Will after 10 days... We are going home!!!! With more Meds of course. Going to Disney with all this stuff is going to be fun.

I am so happy that you are going home!!!:banana: It will be a litlle crazy with all the meds to go to Disney hopefully she will be having a good week that week & feel good to enjoy it all!!! :)

Catching up on everything :guilty: I am so far behind having taken Lisa to Philly to find out about her next open heart surgery, then Rachel getting so sick and being in the hospital...Loved the video. :goodvibes Our city doesn't do things like that for the families, it always makes me happy to see other children having the opportunity to join in on some fun. I am sorry Kerri will not be joining you on this wish trip, so happy she was able to go on the last one. I know you will feel as if a part of you is missing, been there and done that with a college student. We are determined Christian will go with us, that is the problem with some of the MAW scheduling though. He deserves this as much as anyone, after all he has been through and losing so much of his growing up years.

I knew we were in the hospital and dealing with illness at the same time over Christmas :santa:...so happy you are all home now as well! :yay: The hospital is never fun; especially not on holidays!

I know you have a LOT to accomplish in the next few months, Praying for healthy days so you can get things done! :flower3:

Thank you for coming by. Seem like nobody comes to PTR. We are all sad that Kerri isn't coming. Just not going to be the same without her. She really didn't want to come. She didn't want to get back on plane. We are thankful she did go on Kylees trip. Their just isn't any other time we can go together. Way too hot in April when she does have Spring Break. We can't go in Summer..even hotter. We can't go on Thanksgiving week and afraid it'll be too cold in December.

I hear ya on being behind. All these hospital visits is wearing me down. I read and answer some question here and there, but to go to each person PTR I haven't done in while...Will..I just did the other day...lol

Hospital stay over the holiday was not fun. They did nothing special for the kids on Christmas which made me sad for Kylee. They did have Santa come on Christmas Eve, but was not the same. Just glad she took it in stride and didn't complain much. It was funny because we had to stop at Walmart the day we were discharged (New Years Day) and we were looking at something and Kylee wanted this toy. I said kind of loudly...we have to see what Santa brought you first. Boy...did we get some stares. They probably thought I was nuts. Christmas just passed. :lmao:

I'm hoping you make the 730 orientation but I'm thinking that isn't going to happen. :sad2:

I've heard Wish families getting to stay during EMH and some that had to leave so you have to plan that you won't be able to stay... but if you get lucky then :wizard: for you!

IF you do go to AK ride the safari, ride EE, see either FOTLK or Nemo and 1 more ride... maybe Bugs Life or Dinosaur?

I think the 10:25 apt is a good time but not sure if you are out late the night before if this is too early?

Wednesday the 16th... Epcot Day. We have never been, so like to spend the day there. open from 9-9
It will take you the day in Epcot especially exploring the WS. You can end the day with Illuminations if you stay till 9.

Thursday the 17th...Sea World and then Christmas at GKTW. Trying to see about doing a private meet and greet with Dolphins for Korissa. If somebody would call me back.
Good idea doing these on the same day. You can see SW in about 6-7 hours.

I love that you have the extra days. This way you will be able to relax and if you want to add a day off or just relax you are able to. Make sure you add a little time at GKTW... for the star, go swimming, play mini golf, etc..

Where are you staying after you check out of GKTW?

I like the plan. The late nights might be a bit much though especially if you plan early mornings the next day. We did US/IOA in one day but we spent most of our time at IOA. When we were there in August, we headed to IOA early. There was early entry for those staying onsite so they could visit HP. We arrived before park opening and asked. We were sent directly to HP and allowed in the same as on site guests. We stayed in HP area til about 1030, then did Seuss Landing, ate at Mythos (had ADR booked beforehand for noon). We then headed to the side with the water rides and dinosaurs. It started to rain so we didn't see much. Hung out in superhero area for a bit and headed to US around 5pm.. it was later than planned. We stayed there til about 8pm and all of us had had it. It was long enough for us to see Barney show, visit some characters (Scooby and friends, Simpsons, Diego) and for Lucas to do some of the big rides with his dad. It was long enough for us. We headed back for another 1/2 day later but went again to IOA. Sydney wanted another frozen butter beer so we spent most of our time in HP area and Seuss Landing but it was nice and really not rushed. We did things that the kids loved without feeling like we were missing anything.

Your plan sounds great to me but I have never been so what do I know!?!:lmao: It is so nice you all will have the extra days...we are so thankful to have them too! Less then two months:)!!!!

Thank you Erika. I can't believe you have just over 2 weeks to go. We started with 8 months, so 2 months is just around the corner.

I know we can do IOA half day, but not sure about Universal. My kids love the fast rides. How long does it take to go through HP? What is Butter Beer? Doesn't sound good:rotfl: The parks that stay open later we can go at later time and sleep in a little. I believe only 2 parks are late nights. The rest closes at 8pm or 7 pm. I know we will need a vacation from our vacation..lol
Sounds like a great trip is planned! I wish we were able to take a few extra days!

Thank you:hug:

I'm hoping you make the 730 orientation but I'm thinking that isn't going to happen. :sad2:
I'm sure it's not happening either. I wonder since we have been to an orientation..we can just get our tickets.
I've heard Wish families getting to stay during EMH and some that had to leave so you have to plan that you won't be able to stay... but if you get lucky then :wizard: for you!
That's the problem...We won't know forsure, until that time. Not sure we will have time to do both parks in 1 day. Especially we will have a late start that day, if we have to go to Orientation in morning.

We may want to sleep in a little this morning. At least till 8am and then get up have breakfast at GKTW. I guess I can't. Just called and they are completely sold out. Does this mean DW will be busy that day:scared1:
It will take you the day in Epcot especially exploring the WS. You can end the day with Illuminations if you stay till 9.
I can't wait for this day. We will stay and see Illuminations. Is this every night thing?

We will go at opening and leave at 5:30pm.

I'm not sure on the relaxing;). We have busy days, but glad we don't have to rush and take it all in. I know we will never got back again:sad2:
Where are you staying after you check out of GKTW?

No clue yet. Something we need to do ASAP. I do know we have to stay off property. The last time we stayed at Staybridge Suites as my friend had just gotten back from a wish trip and had a discount code. Do they still do that? Do you know any place that is cheap, but nice?

I would say it is going to be pretty busy while you are there. It is the beginning of Spring Break season. Did you try to get the DTD BBB?

I can't wait for this day. We will stay and see Illuminations. Is this every night thing?
Illuminations is every night at 9pm. You can check the park times, parade times, and fireworks times here:

Have you thought about renting a house for the 4 nights? You would have more room, your own pool, etc... you probably can get something for around $500.

I have not read any other comments...so sorry if I repeat anything. :)

My comments will be in Pink. :)

Sunday...Fly all day. Hopefully make the 7:30pm Orientation..not holding my breath though

I really hope you make the 7:30 orientation, but you will be fine either way...Maybe ask for a quick private orientation since you guys have been there before?? They may do it for a returning family?

Monday the 14th...9am..Go to Orientation if we don't make it the night before. 11am..Head to Animal Kingdom for a few hours. 3pm..Head to DHS. They have EMH so hopefully we can stay until it closes at 10pm. What's the odds of this happening? We may not go to AK

Oh man...two parks...yeah...try to get the orientation that night before if you can. I hate for you to get a late start.

What are your plans at AK? Are you wanting to see both Lion King and Nemo? If so...you want to try to get there by 10:30 so you can do one of the shows early and one in the early afternoon...I guess I am wondering what you plan to do at AK that will only take a couple of hours...I am afraid it is going to take us almost a full day or even two? For when we go back?

Tuesday the 15th...Disney World Day!! Kylee has a BBB at 10:25am(may call and see if they have a tad later one. Park closes at 11pm. Not sure we will make it that long. I know Kylee and I won't.

Don't forget the Wish Lounge! It will be a great place to take a little break mid-day to nap or rest, etc. :)

Wednesday the 16th... Epcot Day. We have never been, so like to spend the day there. open from 9-9

Oh my gosh! I just realized we will be in Disney this week!!!!! Our trip still seems to be a bit unreal for me...but I need to look at our schedule and see what day we are in Disney parks?!?!

Thursday the 17th...Sea World and then Christmas at GKTW. Trying to see about doing a private meet and greet with Dolphins for Korissa. If somebody would call me back.

Even if they don't call you back - I think this can happen on the fly. Just go there first when you get to Sea World and talk to a supervisor...make sure they see the button and tell them it is a wish for her and they will help you! They do a great job with this!

Friday the 18th...IOA/ Universal.. Not sure we can do both parks in one day or not. If not..IOA

I bet you can! Using the magic button. :)

Saturday the 19th...Last day at GKTW:sad1: Free day. Do some stuff at GKTW, Maybe do that flying thing, Gadorland...ect

I love that you have a free day!! :)

Sunday the 20th...Universal Studios if we didn't do it on the 18th..or if we did..may do a half day again

Awesome!

Monday the 21st....Beach day..better be a nice day. We are thinking Daytona Beach and hop on over to the Daytona raceway.;)

Sounds like fun!!

Tuesday the 22nd... Busch Gardens

I really hope you are able to do a TR! I have never had a TR for someone that did Busch Gardens as part of their wish trip!

Wed. the 23rd... Downtown Disney(take Steven to Ridemakers), eat at Cracker Barrel(this is a must), and maybe go to outlets. Go to airport about 4pm.

That is so funny...we have Cracker Barrel on our list of things to do, too. lol

Does this sound ok?

I think our paths may cross?!?!?

It is going to be an insane trip for us...two adults with 3 teenagers and two of those are in wheelchairs...so I know my hands will be really full...and yours will be too - because this is your wish trip! It is sort of Lauren's "do over" trip for the things she missed on hers.

Remind me to check our list...I don't have it here...to see what parks we are going to and which days. I think we are only doing Disney.
