Just thought I would let all of you know that like to flavor your water with Crystal Light on the go that Kool Aid now makes little single packets that go in your bottled water. So you can take it for your kids if you do not want them to have artifical sweetner.

They come in Cherry, tropical Punch and grape and just came out a few weeks ago. It takes two of the little tubes to do a 16-20oz bottle.
My kids think that regular kool aid when mixed with the "right" amount of sugar is too sweet anyway, so one tube is enough for them in a 16oz bottle of water.

There is also a version of this in Country Time lemonade!
:)

I noticed it at two larger grocery stores here in Iowa, Fareway and HyVee. I did not see it at Wal Mart Supercenter yet though. But it has been a few weeks since I have been to Wal Mart.
It was in the Kool Aid section. Guy at one store said it had only been on the shelves for about two weeks.

:wave2: That would be great ! as long as it dose not have Splenda. What was the price and how many per box?

If you can't have artificial sweeteners for medical reasons (I can't have any because of migraines), you might want to double check that there really are no artificial sweeteners in the packets that you buy (I know, I know, I am stating the obvious). The Kool-Aid and Lemonade single serve packages that I have found contain Aspertame. I would LOVE to find something like this without artificial sweeteners, so I will have to look around for these. :goodvibes

Thanks for the tip OP!

I got the Country Time Lemonade and was disappointed because of the artificial sweetner. I don't like Crystal Light or any of those because of the after taste, and this one is the same way. Bummer!

I'll have to try the Kool Aid, but I'm not really a big fan.

Shagley, I am going to make my own single serving bags because of the sweetners used in the prepared ones. I saw that Walmart (and may other stores) sell tiny ziploc bags in their bead/jewelry making isle. I figure I could measure out what would be needed for a bottle of water and just make my own.

splenda is the worst for me it gives me wicked stomach aches.

I think it would be difficult to find ones sweetened with sugar because each 8oz cup of kook-aid contains 1/8 cup of sugar. You can always measure it out yourself at home and put it in ziplock bags to take with you. The snack-size bags would be perfect for this. And I am sure much less expensive.

No, the new Kool Aid Singles do not have artificial sweetner in them.
I think sucralose is a natural sugar derivitive, right? I guess I'd have to do a search, but I think sucralose is natural....

I did not think they did becuase the tubes are so much bigger than the Crystal Light ones. Plus they say on the box that they are designed for an 8oz bottle of water. Little pint sized for the pint sized.....

I have a box in front of me and the ingredients are: Sugar, fructose, citric acid (provides tartness) contains less than 2% of natural and artificial flavor, ascorbic acid, vitamin E acetate, calcium phosphate (prevents caking), acesulfame potassium and sucralose(sweetners), artificial colors, BHA (preserves freshness).

My kids just mixed one tube with a regular 16oz bottle of water, but if you like it fully loaded, use two!

I had a box of the Country Time on the Go, but it is already gone, so I am not sure what the ingredients were.

OK, I guess sucralose IS Splenda, which I did not remember....

So these packets have it listed as the last ingredient before the food color. And it has to have 2% or less.....

but you would need to be careful if you do not or cannot use Splenda.

What I do know is that my kids like the product and it is super handy.
