Today is Dodie's birthday. To bad she is unable to be here to celebrate it with us, but we will go ahead and do so when she shows up on the 7th.
It was a short night. But the 7 of us managed to get up, get dressed and get down to the bus stop and somehow made our way over to Kona's as you can probably guess, yes we were late, only by about 10 minutes. The CM was very nice and we were sat within 5 minutes, had a great breakfast, with my older sister ordering the Tonga Toast, she loved it and I had a fruit plate the others had eggs, bacon, sauage and us older ones had coffee, other than my sister in law, Missy and Melly that drank juice. Originally we had planned to go to Epcot, but Missy wanted to see MGM, so I'm flexible. Myself, "Sonny", Mrs Sonny, Missy and Melly head over there. Upon getting to MGM we go on the Great Movie Ride. Melly begins believing the gangster is for real. Afterwards Missy and I go and get fastpasses for the TOT. Not just for ourselves, but for "Sonny". Melly wants to play Who wants to be a Millionaire, so the rest of them head over there to play it while I pass. When they get back 3 of us head over to the TOT, my brother keeps asking, "Do you see anyone else as old as me going on this ride?" I'm too old for this type of thing". We go through the preshow and onto the ride where we happen to get seated right up in the front. This seems to happen quite a bit for other rides and activities throughout the trip. So he sits in the middle, myself on a side that has nothing to hold onto but him, and Missy on the other side. We go up, go down, go up, down, doors open we go down, or is it up? Anyway we sure wanted to see the picture at the end and it was well worth it. I'm clutching his arm and screaming on one side of "Sonny" and Missy is screaming on the other, while "Sonny" looks like he may be about ready to throw up. Sonny when the ride was over just said, "Is that all there is to it?" The last time I rode any ride with my big brother I must have been when I was about 7 and then he put me on the kiddie carnival ride while he and his "cool" friends watched. This picture was a definite keeper.:)
It had been raining and I wanted to rest a bit before Illuminations, so I left to go back to the resort and "Sonny", Mrs. Sonny, Missy and Melly stayed to watch the parade, they came back a little later. It gave Missy and Melly a chance to swim, I too went down to the pool, I think Grandma Mouse, DisneySister and Mrs. Sonny had a lunch.
DisneySis, myself, Missy, Melly, Mrs. Sonny and Sonny head over to Epcot, Grandma Mouse decides to stay at the resort. She really likes it there! She also has developed an upset stomach so she really needed to stay and just rest. Traveling so far, the heat and excitment was wearing her out and we wanted her to be able to do as she pleased.
We have PS's for LeCellier and enjoyed it. Then we had previewed viewing by the Morroco pavillion. A lot of people crowded into this one space. I did not realize so many would have previewed viewing for Illuminations. Everyone loved it. I thought it was a little hard to see since I was near a pole, but I missed it last year because of rain. Missy told me she thought the viewing place was just fine. So maybe it was me. Melly watched again in awe and that alone was worth it.:goodvibes
It ended up being a magical night and quite a day too!::yes::

I forgot to mention before that you sound like me, always taking the pullout sofa. But I don't really mind as long as I don't have to share it with DGD Skye as she's like sleeping with a wildcat!LOL

Sounds like your trip with several people along is going quite smoothly. Don't you love watching a newbie's, especially a child's, expressions seeing the world for the first time!

Looking forward to more....
