Kona for dessert?

I've heard great reviews about Kona's desserts, and was thinking about taking ds4 and ds2 there one night after dinner. It's at AKL, right? Is this place pretty kid friendly? Does anyone have any recommendations about a certain time to go? Does anything go on there at night? We are staying offsite, so I'm not really familiar with the resorts overall, except for what I read on the dis!

Ah, yes. You are right. I'm a little forgetful lately. So, would we be able to watch the water parade before or after dessert? That goes by the Poly, correct?

Sunlover...I just noticed you are in Downers Grove! I'm in Naperville! I lived in Downers Grove for a few years on the north side near Belmont!

Hello neighbor! I'm on the North side of Downers too, but closer to Fairview & the tracks. My husband works in Naperville, near the Winfield Exit & I-88.

Yes, the water parade does go by the Poly beach, but I'm not sure what time. We only saw it once and that was from Fort Wilderness Lodge. We went to the Campfire sing-a-long, then walked over to the beach to watch it. Would never do it again b/c we were pretty much stranded at Ft Wilderness. We ended up calling a cab to get back to POR. I guess we could have taken a bus to downtown disney, then back to the resort. It was sooo late though and I just wanted to get back to the resort so we called a cab.

We ate dinner at Kona our last trip and it was EXCELLENT! I think I had the Kona Cone for dessert. It was very good, but my daughter wanted it b/c it had cotton candy on it too. Can't remember what DH had.........
