Kona Cafe vs. WCC

My husband and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary and his 1st trip to WDW this September, during free dining. I have made all of my ADR's but I just can't decide between 2 restaurants for our first night there before we go to the MK. I've been to WCC many times, but I've never tried Kona Cafe. Is Kona really as great as everyone says, and in your opinions which restaurant is better in terms of food and atmosphere?

We went to both WCC and Kona last year, and I'd say we preferred WCC. I definitely like the food and the atmosphere better at WCC, although we also had an excellent meal at Kona.

We really enjoy Kona Cafe. Since you have been to WCC, why not try something new?

I've been to both Kona and WCC at least twice. We love Kona's food and have received fabulous service ... the atmosphere is sorta modern and maybe a little cold, therefore VERY different from WCC, but I would still try it.

WCC is good food we loved it. Since you have already been to WCC try something different. I think you will be glad you did!! The food is wonderful! Like you will want to go again kind of wonderful!!

We've been to both places several times. Both are excellent restaurants.

But if we HAD to choose, we would choose Whispering Canyon. It just "fits" us - personality-wise and food-wise.
