We have a tradition of eating at Ohana for breakfast. We are coming from another resort but have lunch reservations at Kona since Ohana was a no go. Does anyone know if you can still order breakfast at 12:30 in the afternoon? The Tonga toast and Macadamia pancakes sound wonderful!

Once they make the transition to lunch they really can't keep serving breakfast, I suppose anything is possible but I wouldn't count on it.

You are not missing anything. We have been a few times and were not crazy about those 2 things.

Au contraire!! Our experience (and tastes) might be different. We would make a stop at Kona just to enjoy both these items. Just not after breakfast is done being served!

My husband would disagree.... Tonga Toast is his must do dish every time we are in WDW. I had the pancakes last time and they were good. Maybe not the best pancakes I've ever had, but really good nonetheless.
I'm still salty they don't have the regular Loco Moco right now, only the plant based version. I refuse to eat that fake meat stuff.

I don't mind the fake meat. It's the fake eggs - which at least in baking is the stuff drained away from canned chickpeas. (Thank you The Great British Baking Show for that knowledge.) EWWWWWW!

Thanks everyone. Basically we won’t know until we ask. We have a gluten, shellfish and sesame allergy to work around so the lunch menu scares me a little. I know Disney is good with allergies.

Even though the plant based loco moco is the only loco on the menu if you ask nicely they will make the regular version with meat and the chorizo gravy for you. When I went on Aug 9th I asked if it was only the plant based loco and the waitress quickly said that she could get me the regular. I was thrilled that is one of two reasons I went there for breakfast the other was for the pressed pot coffee.

Fabulous news!! I know the regular has been listed as safe for gluten/wheat allergies in the past. But something in the plant-based makes it not safe as it is not on the COVID-times allergy menu. If they are not back to the normal menu in January I will be sure to ask nicely.

I would not count on it - especially with those allergies. I would either make a breakfast reservation as late as possible or make a lunch reservation and hope for the best with that menu. (Only sesame is not on the allergy menu I have seen. Gluten and shellfish are so you can figure out if lunch will work for them and see if there is something the sesame person would eat that seems safe and ask.

If you want breakfast, then make a reservation for breakfast. The kitchen closes between breakfast and lunch to prep it with the ingredients and stations for lunch. If you have a lunch reservation, they will provide you lunch menu options for allergies.

EDIT to add:
Breakfast ends at 11:00, so you can make a 10:55am reservation for breakfast and they will serve you a breakfast menu before they switch the kitchen to lunch.
