Kona Cafe MIA?

I am working with friends to plan their upcoming honeymoon trip and one dining recommendation I was going to make was for Kona Cafe but it's not showing up as a dining option. Weird!! If I search 'Kona Cafe' on the Disney site a link is displayed but when I click that link it Donald's 'ducked out' message.

Does anyone know why I might not be able to see Kona Cafe right now?

Possibly bc the date you are trying to book is unavailable.

I just checked and Kona shows in my MDE. IDK.

So weird! Just checked both MDE and Disney.com and still cannot see it. I've tried a variety of dates and looked under the 'not available' section too.

I've even double checked my kindergarten ABCs a few times to be sure that the alphabet goes HIJ K L....

I'm officially stumped as this is a restaurant I book often for family and friends when they are traveling to WDW.

Yay! Was just looking at other options and when I went back to the list Kona was listed again. I'll take it! Thanks for your help JerseyJanice and Happy_Haunt999. Greatly appreciated.

It was listed as "Kona Island" while you noticed it being MIA, now it's showing back up as KC and Kona Island is gone.

Thanks so much @DisBuckMan !! I truly thought I was losing it!! I noticed 'Kona Island' but assumed it was something else and didn't click the link. Wonder if there is a name change coming up?

No, Kona Island is the sushi/coffee bar outside of Kona Cafe on the 2nd floor of the Poly. There may have been a website glitch when you looked for KC that it came up KI, or it just wasn't available originally when you were looking and then a cancellation came in that made it avail.

Hm. Just checked Disney Dining and both Kona Cafe and Kona Island are right where they should be.
