Has anybody had lunch at the Kona Cafe? I must say in all the years that we've been going to Disney, this is one place that we have never tried. I'm not big on eating lunch at the MK and thought that this may be nice to try for lunch. Any recommendations?

Been there twice for lunch & I don't have a bad thing to say about the place.

My DH loves the burger & sticky wings.

I have loved the crab cakes, potstickers, chicken pasta dish, ko-ko puffs, & kaleau torte....mmmmmm.......

oh yeah...and don't forget the lapu-lapu....mmmmmmm.......

All is good there. It's one of our favorites. LOVE KONA!!!!

This is one of my favorite places to get away during a busy day at the park. The restaurant is easy to get to, usually not very busy and has a great view of the monorails.

The food is nice too and the service is great.

cjsmith,

Thanks for asking this question!::yes:: My DH and I are going to WDW at the end of April and we were planning on trying the Kona Cafe for lunch after during doing Early Entry at MK and I was wondering myself how lunch was. If nothing else I know I can get a good cup of coffee there!:hyper:

Thanks,
Kimbra :wave2:

This is a must lunch when we go to wdw. The restaurant is a nice place to relax in a wonderful atmosphere. We always get the best servers.
Here are some suggestions: pot stickers, beef teriyaki salad are very good. The desserts are incredible too.

This is a must do for us too. We love the burgers and the desserts (all of them). We usually split our meals so we have enough room for dessert.

Kona is a great place to relax and cool down after a hectic morning at MK. We love to go there and have even gone as many as 3 time during one trip.

We have recently added this to our trip. Last year we just decided on a whim to eat there. The burger was fantastic and the Kileau Torte for dessert was outrageous.

After our meal my DH turned to me and said we must come back to this place again for lunch since it was so excellent!

He also had the cheeseburger and some sort of coffee at the end. He said the coffee was the best he had the entire trip.

I have also had the lapu lapu's at the Poly - best drink at WDW. Just looking at it makes me happy.

Enjoy

I ate there last October. The potstickers were wonderful and the mushroom pasta dish was good too.

This was my favorite restaurant our last trip- so much so that we ate their twice. I liked the veggie spring rolls a LOT! Yummy!

Thanks everyone, I guess we'll be giving it a try for lunch on Monday!:Pinkbounc

Great choice, Carolyn...we love Kona for B,L,&D!:D. Two weeks to go for us!

hi all:wave:
sorry to sound a bit thick:rolleyes: how do you get to kona cafe from mk, monorail or the boat:D

thanks eve::MinnieMo

We've gone to kona cafe a couple of times, for lunch, but I don't recall much about the food.

The best thing about kona is that it's easy to get to, if your at MK. It's a nice quiet relaxing place to go, to get away from the croud.... and it's not too pricey.

Eve, you can also take the small launches to the Polynesian. If you're returning to the MK after lunch and want to see some of the lovely grounds of the Polynesian, you might take the monorail to lunch and walk around after lunch and take the boat back to the MK. They are a lot of fun.:boat:

hi bcv23:wave:
