My family and I will be staying at the Polynesian for a week and would like to have meals at both Kona Cafe and Trails End Restaurants. We made a reservation for Ohana but for these two restaurants, do we need reservations?

For Kona Cafe, you definitely need an ADR to play it safe. Trail's End is tucked away at Fort Wilderness, off the radar of many guests. So it's usually easier to go there without an ADR.

But my general rule is that if I specifically want to eat somewhere, I will always make an ADR to be sure I won't be turned away for capacity.

We stayed at the Poly in Sept and had a few meals at Kona. For dinner you definately need a ressie. I saw several people turned away and several who had ressies wait up to an hour past their ressie before getting seated. At breakfast you can usually get in because everyone else is trying to get in 'Ohana.
