Do you think it will be impossible to get breakfast reservations at Kona for 10 days from now? I saw the bananna french toast and had happy childhood flashbacks....

You can also get the tonga toast at Capn Cooks the counter service at the Polynesian if you can't get an ADR at Kona. It is the same thing.

I'd say go for it - Kona's not nearly as popular as all the breakfast character buffets so you may get right int

...although I pass on the tonga toast, too sweet for me (the macadamia nut pineapple pancakes, though...yummm...especially in a Big Kahuna breakfast. That's some fine eating.)

I'm not sure about breakfast but I say go for it, we were able to get ADRs for last Saturday night on Friday and it was the best meal we had!

I agree--the Big Kahuna breakfast was yummy! I loved the pineapple macedamia nut pancakes and I got a reservation for Mother's Day for breakfast when I called last week.

Yup, I bet you'll be able to get into Kona for breakfast! :thumbsup2 We planned a last minute trip this past Feb. Literally booked the trip and 7 days later we were at Disney. I was able to get Kona for breakfast no problem. Good luck! :goodvibes

Thanks everybody! I'm actually going to miss this board after the trip- I have never met such a friendsy helpful group of people!!

We had two meals at Kona whilst we were there in Feb. Both were walk up one at 1.30pm for lunch (no wait) and the other about 10am for breakfast (we had to wait about 10 mins for this one). I hope you get what you want. The tonga toast was lovely, but very very filling :cool1:

You should at least try but if you want to save money go to Captn Cooks. We had an ADR at Kona's for breakfast last week but cancelled and went to Captn Cooks. I was able to order the tonga toast and the kids breakfast platter (eggs, bacon, grapes) for about $5 cheaper than eating just the tonga toast at Kona's. Of course the atomosphere was different but all I really wanted to do was try the tonga toast--and it is fabulous--well worth waking up early!!! Good luck

Give them a call. When we were down there in August (very big crowds), I called the day before our Kona reservation just to see if they had any availability earlier than our scheduled ADR, and I had my choice of times. It's always worth a shot.

Try and if you can't get in then just go to captain cooks.

I booked an ADR for Kona at 9am the morning we wanted to go...I got in at 940am! (They also had a 925, but we hadn't left the hotel yet!)
