Known Issue on Transferred Points

When doing a transfer into your account, Members need to be aware that it is possible you will not be able to use online booking to book your trip, it will take a call into MS for them to book. I had points transferred into my account this week and the points are not viewable for booking or in the Account Activity where they should be. After numerous calls into MS I was told to take screen shots of my account and send them in to tech support. Here is their answer:

We appreciate your interest in your transferred in Vacation Points and will be happy to guide you.
There is a known and recognized issue regarding being able to see and utilize transferred in Vacation Points online. Our technicians have been working to remedy the issue, but we do not have an estimated date on which the issue may be resolved. We can confirm that the 150 October 2023 Disney's Boardwalk Villas Vacation Points are in Membership#XXXXXXXXXX
Until the issue with booking with transferred in Vacation Points online has been resolved, we have reverted back to original practices and must invite you to contact Member Services via phone or chat to utilize the transferred in Vacation Points for booking.

Online booking using transferred points during the home resort booking priority period has been an issue for some time. AFAIK, it works once the 7th month window opens.

I don't think it will be resolved unless/until the entire booking engine gets a complete overhaul. JMHO. YMMV.

I am having the same issue with my ccv transfer points.
 
When you get transferred points, a temporary contract is added to your account.

You won’t see it until you go to book. It will not show up during the home resort booking period and so definitely need to call in when booking then.

However then can be used during the 7 month window and I have had no issues doing it recently.

I think the reason the home resort booking does not work is because it’s the same process for OTU points and so the system appears to be set up to block things.
 

What is interesting is that I transferred points last year and had no issue booking 11 months out, so the problem is not consistent. I also see the Virtual Contract when trying to do a mock 7 month reservation, but it has 0 points in it as the points are not available until October 2023.
