My son's boyscout badges are all hotglued onto their shirts.

I used the fabric glue but they fell off anyway!

When I was a scout, I had to sew my own badges on. It was another skill I learned from the program. Don't they have a sewing merit badge?

Heh. This is my task for tonight. Well, one of them. Ds has been a pretty lame Cub Scout (Tiger) for the whole year, so we never got around to getting his uniform. Now, I find out, he doesn't get to get his patches for completing the year's stuff unless he actually is wearing his uniform at tomorrow night's meeting. So, dh and I went down to the Boy Scout store and finally picked up his shirt and stuff.

Not sure if/when there's a sewing merit badge, but definitely not for the Tiger Scouts (1st graders).

I'm trying to remember if I had to sew on my badges when I was a Girl Scout. I seem to remember my mom doing it, actually, tho I did get my sewing merit badge.

And Angela, definitely wishing you good vibes on your fabric sale. People go nuts when they see garage/yard sales - they definitely want something for almost nothing - I hope you can recoup a fair amount.

If I remember correct, Cub Scouts don't earn merit badges. That is a Boy Scout think. I think Cub Scouts earn skill buckles that they wear on their belt.

They do have badges for rank though. Your son is probably about ready to become a bobcat rank cubscout.

I have to admit to being a little confused about this, still. But, I *think* he is going to become a Wolf next. And I know that he gets beads for every 10 electives he does, which hang on the belt. Tho I'm not sure how many he is going to get (probably 1 or 2), depending on how generously his den leader decides to credit some of the stuff I know we did multiple times, like, play board games. I find it quite amusing that board games count as electives! I'm not sure what happens next year, as far as earning stuff is concerned.

I am startign packing tonight. I got Spencer some plastic animals, and Brianna disney fairies as "gifts from Mickey".

I also got them each small digital cameras that have a clip on them....I need to get them lanyards to clip them to. then they can take their own pictures. I think that will be interesting.....

Anything to keep my mind off of Saturday. I'm worried not many people are going to show up....then I will be screwed. All fo that work for nothing....

I know I have good stuff....I'm just worried no one will show. I need to sell about 1,000 yards (not including the pallets) to fit the rest into the basement. I'm worried not enough people will see the posting, and I don't want to drop the $$ to post int he local newspaper.

I got 3 disposables last 2 trips. and put each of there names on them..pictures sucked. when they remembered to bring the cameras or were`nt fighting over them..

I got those little $10 digis at Walgreens on sale for 2/$15. One is pink and one is blue, so no fighting unless one gets lost. I'm sure the pics will stink, but I think they'll have fun....it will also keep their grubby little hands off of the good camera, sinc Spencer is prone to breakign things.

Show a pic of Annie's hair!! I just buzzed Spencer's head. he looks so cute! His hair is really puffy when it gets longer.
