Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

M&R is bad. But I don't know if I would call it the worst show ever.
I can't stand those teletubbies. Argh, they don't even talk!
Oh and Barney, he needs to be slaughtered like the other dinos millions or years ago.
What about Johny and the Sprites! Why is that show so lame?

For some reason neither teletubbies nor ****ah ever bothered me. :confused3 I never claimed to be normal. My kids hate Barney and Johnny and the Sprites.

I'd have to agree with you, Angela. I find Max & Ruby very annoying. I especially dislike the way Ruby treats Max, because it reminds me of the way DD6 treats DD4 sometimes -- like a baby.

I also really don't like Caillou. He's such a whiner!!!! All he does is whine and his parents give in to him!

But on the other side of the coin, I'm really liking the new show on PBS -- Word World. It's cute and it's been teaching DD4 some letters and words. Good stuff... :)

My son makes Caillou seem like a nice content child. But they don't like Caillou.

Is word world where the animals are created by their letters? My kids like that show, but tell me it is too baby-ish for them. there's another one with a superhero word guy or something. THey love that.

S STILL loves Blues clues. It was ok at the beginning, but there are onyl so many times you can watch Steve or Joe on an adventure before you snap.

And I hate Dora, too. She's a Fascist. ordering kids around (SAY BACKPACK! SAY BACKPACK!). She uses no problem solving skills at all. it stinks. Diego is slightly better about that.

B loves Pinky Dinky Doo and Yo Gabba Gabba (which was created by someone on LSD, I swear).

S loves Bunnytown.....and blues clues.....And whatever that word superhero show is.

Oh, and my kids LOVE animals, but for some reason hate Big Big World (which I like )

It is either WordGirl or SuperWhy. Both very high on my sons fav list. Right behind Cyber Chase.

Cyber Chase scares my son.

Wuss.

I think it's SuperWhy. He likes Word girl too.

I let them watch too much TV. :sad2:

Word World is the one where the animals are made up of letters. My DD just turned 4 and is not even close to reading yet, so she loves it.

We're not huge Dora fans, although DD4 will watch it. Both girls love Bunnytown. They especially like playing the games on playhousedisney.com related to Bunnytown.

I agree about the Yo Gabba Gabba creator being on something. That show is plain strange.

I think the show with the superhero word guy is called Super Why. DD4 likes that one too.

Of course, both of my girls are way into Hannah Montana right now! It's crazy at my house between Hannah Montana and High School Musical!

Mine watch too much TV too! I can't wait for summer...

See, that's funny. I don't let my kids watch Hannah Montana, because I don't think they're old enough for it yet....same thing for High School Musical. Maybe I'm overprotective. :confused3 I've never seen them, either, btw. They only recently were allowed to watch Kim Possible, and it scared S. Maybe next year for Hannah and HSM.

This summer my kids are going to sports camp for a good deal of the summer, and I am dragging them tot he zoo a lot. I have a membership to the Bronx Zoo, and we park and get in for "free", and can bring guests in with us. So when my folks come to visit or my aunt takes the day off, we go off and wander around the zoo.

Kind of like a friend of mine from High school's mom and WDW (they live about 5 miles from the magic Kingdom and have APs). Every time my mother goes to visit them, they get a 2 day pass for her and they all go to WDW. I'm jealous.

Well, my oldest DD is almost 7 and in first grade. She just started watching those shows during this past summer. Since she watches them, it's hard to keep the little one from watching them. And DH and I previewed HSM before allowing them to watch it. It's a very clean show, especially compared to most of what's out there.

We don't watch many of the regular Disney channel shows (only Hannah Montana and Zack & Cody) and I don't allow them to watch anything on Nick (even Spongebob).

We belong to the zoo and Indy has an awesome Children's Museum, so we go there a lot too. Plus, we've got some great parks and a very safe neighborhood with lots of kids. I just can't wait for the snow to be over...

I don't worry about too much TV. As long as it is "educational" it should be good for him, right?

:happytv:

B likes Spongebob....so does HHBG.

I want it to warm up, too. We haven't had a lot of snow this year, but it hasn't been a fun winter.

Your DD is older than my DS. He's in Kindergarten and just turned 5 in Sept. Easier to control their TV.

He liked Fairly Odd parents for a while, but didn't get the jokes. HHBG lets them watch shows I wouldn't be OK with.

playhouse disney . com and the other online sites get much use here.

So does build a bearville.:sad2:

Ooh - we don't watch any of those shows. I refuse to - well, I don't think I've refused M&R, we just don't watch much PBS (mainly because it's on a different section of channels, and we watch lots of Noggin, and well, if it isn't pre-recorded on the DVR, we probably won't get around to watching it, anyhow, since we aren't normally home during the day.)

But, I hate to say, dd watches (or did) watch lots of Dora. I've had to correct a bunch of mis-information in it, but at least she's learning some Spanish from it. We are more of a Noggin house, so other shows they sometimes watch are (sometimes) Backyardigans, and (sometimes) Wonder Pets (with really annoying animation, imo, but otherwise ok). Dd went through a major Elmo's World phase (videos), but that's over now.

They also watch a lot of Pokemon - that's more ds' thing, but dd likes it, too. They went through big Digimon & Yu-Gi-Oh! phases, too. Ds likes anime, what can I say. When he was really little, he happened to notice the AstroBoy videos at the library, and really got into those. For those who don't know, that is really old anime!

Ds hasn't gotten into any of the live action Disney shows - I think they might be too girly for him - relationships rather than action/adventure. And I'm fine with that so far.

I was obsessed with Pokemon and YuGiOh for a couple years. They are great shows. Wait, how old am I again. :confused3 Oh, bother...

M&R is on noggin.

Backyardigans is another household favorite (for the KIDS). I forgot about that.

They are less into wonder Pets, since it is all reruns.

Oh, also, they LOVE Little Bill. I am Ok with this.

Mine are watching Little Bill right now. DD4 also loves the Backyardigans, as do I. I find it very imaginative.
