I am also 75% done with Spencer's Zurg outfit, and I have the tink outfit planned, and the fabric picked out for the 101 Dalmations and two giselle dresses....

And I cut out the shorts for Lion King, Mickey II, Animals, and Mickey III. Hopefully Spencer's shorts will be done tomorrow afternoon, and I can have his tee shirts embroidering while I work on Brianna's dresses.

I also have a Belle dress half made, but she doesn't want it. I'll finish that when we get home probably.

I love the Ariel dress.

It's a MESS int he back because I made it HUGE on her and had to cut it down. It's still wearable...probably will be her plane outfit, with a shirt and jeans under it.

Can your little girl show my little girl how to hold and eat with chopsticks... ??

She cheats. She picks the food up and lays it on a chopstick, then squeezes them together.

Oh, adn BOTH my kids REFUSE to use the "kids chopsticks"...they pull them apart.

I like that your kids are eating raw fish though. My DS will try sushi rolls, but I can't get him near the raw pieces of fish.

Yeah, they eat way too much sushi, teppanyaki, and Chinese food....and make a HORRIBLE mess.

My kids LOVE sushi. They have loved sushi since they were little. We used to weird out the staff at our local teppanyaki/sushi joint because the kids would steal HHBG and My sushi all the time.

However, my kids have some weird quirks:

They will ONLY eat sushi if it comes on rice.....I think this is because HHBG and I prefer sushi, and they always saw it on rice, so to them sushi = rice. We have tried to get them to eat sashimi, but NO. Also, where we live, it costs the same, so no biggie except for the waste.

They will NOT eat the rice. They peel the fish off of the rice and eat that. Dunno why. This is where the "sushi carcass" term came from. I was looking at the little forlorn rice piles, still in their sushi shapes, like the leftover bones of a turkey or chicken, and I said to HHBG, "they look like little sushi carcasses". So, they became "sushi carcasses"

If they have rolls, they DISSECT them, and pull out the fish, leavign the rest.

EVERYTHING must be dipped into soy sauce, so things get VERY messy when we eat sushi.

Needless to say, going for sushi is now VERY EXPENSIVE, so we don't do it a lot. It's a great treat, and we have a place that DELIVERS!! (though the other place is cheaper...) We have a few VERY GOOD sushi places around here, so we are spoiled.

Hey all! while my lunch is cooking, I figured I'd show you all what I have done so far today.

Ok, the Mickey outfit with the red shirt, I did before and never took pics of.

I have an embroidery going now for another outfit for Spencer....But I think I will work on one of Brianna's outfits, because if she comes home and he has 3 more outfits done to her none, she WILL throw a fit.

I wish my kids would eat sushi. Ds ate the sushi rice when he was about 13 months, but not the rest of it - but hasn't had any since then. We were at a wonderful sushi restaurant a couple years ago in Cape Cod, where my dad's best friend's wife (who is Japanese) had ordered all sorts of special stuff, and I think all he ate was potstickers, and maybe some plain rice. Me likee sushi.
