Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

Yep. I'm checking in from my IL's. Everyone else is napping. I have been sick for the past few days, but I poop out at about 4:30....I basically have dinner and got o bed. I'm FUN to be around.

Thanks for the well-wishes. :grouphug: I have had a problem with an opportunistic virus that I get when my stress leveld get too high for YEARS (More than 12). It can affect my tonsils, larynx, eyes, ears, throat, sinuses, and/or lungs. The doctors KNOW about this, and have NO IDEA why I get it. :headache:

This time was tonsils, throat, larynx, and sinuses. Fortunately not my eyes or ears this time. I GET really sick, when it's them.

This is another reason they think I have Lupus.....(that's the latest thing I am being tested for...it fts with all of my issues,a dn the neuropathy....please hope with me that it's NOT this).

Oh, gosh - I know just enough about lupus to hope it is something else. A friend of mine has it, but they are out of state, so I haven't seen her since she was diagnosed. I know she had to cut back on everything - she teaches music, private lessons, and has about half the students she did before. I hope they find something nice and treatable so you can feel better on a long-term basis.

That IS bizarre....

Oh, and I think it's illegal to try to get him to sign a non-compete AFTER firing him, and to hold his check as blackmail. I would NOT sign, and then I would get a lawyer. THey are trying to keep him from getting another job.

Well, non-compete as in not stealing their clients, not trying to keep him from working in the field. But, dh has already advised him not to sign and to talk to a lawyer. They seem to have a pretty shaky handle on HR issues in general - I'm not going to go into it, but if his friend decides to be vindictive, he could get them in a bit of trouble.

When we get home, HHBG may be flyign to Chicago for an interview...:confused3

Heehee - I'm trying to picture your shoe collection in Chicago...(tho, maybe there are people in the city who wear stuff like that. I spend way too much of my time in suburbia. I *was* in the city on Saturday, but didn't see any heels at my friend's egg decorating party!)

He's such a klutz. :sad2: He was loving all of the attention at church this morning...

Yeah, tht's why we're planning on independent evaluation. I don't want him labeled in school, since they have already tried pinning things on him, and he's at the Gifted school, and I worry they would try to pull him out to the special needs school, and that would be bad for him. We're really working with him, but trying to not overly push him. The thumb is kicking our butts though. :headache: His teeth are SOOOOOOOOO bad.

    to both of you guys for daling with special kids...I'm not positive yet, but I thin he is too. Even if he isn't, it's TOUGH!

Poor Spencer...has anyone looked at motor planning issues, as far as the bumping into stuff? Ds is doing OT for motor planning/SPD stuff, tho we haven't quite decided if it is really helping or not. This is the kid who seems to purposefully bump into stuff all the time, tho he doesn't tend to actually get hurt. I used to say he was made of elastic or rubber, he bounced around so much, esp. when he was 2 or 3.

Thanks for the reviews from your last trip... good to know... I am back and forth ons ome and yours give me some insight into them... :thumbsup2

Thanks! i think we caught a few restaurants on "bad service days", and I tried to mention that. :thumbsup2

Hi and Happy Easter!!! Just joined your ptr and am loving it. Your children are adorable. Your shoe porn is great. I suffer from the same addiction and work in the worst possible place, which just adds to it. Maybe when I finally start my ptr, I'll post pics of my shoes :lmao:

:welcome: HI! I live about 20 miles (maybe) north of you, I believe, so I know what you mean. Happy Easter!

Hope you haven't got Lupus Angela and they find out what's causing all your symptoms soon

Poor Spencer he reall is clumsy isn't he, BTW my 9 nearly 10 y/o DD still sucks her fingers and will not stop  She's very bright and we've even tried bribes but nothing :headache:

Spencer gets it from his FATHER. Seriously. :lmao: HHBG stood up last week and slammed his head into the ceiling on the stairwell (danger of 120 year old houses: no headroom on stairs. :confused3 )

Ok, two notes:

One kudos on the Bistro. You'll love it!!

And C, I don't like Marrakesh at all... however, I LOVE the Tangerine Cafe!!!!

We're going to look at everything when we get him tested. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the welcome! Working on the UES is not good for my credit card :lmao:

Oh and I love your restaurant reviews. Can't wait to see how your experiences with French food at Disney turn out. I love French food, but it can be easily messed up. Actually so can Italian, which is why I never eat it outside of NY :rotfl2:

Ok...Let's do the stinkin' checklist.

LGMHPCs? check
ADR's? check
World of toiletries...at least 5 times what we'll ever need? Check
clothes made or at least planned, with back-ups in the wings? Check.
Luggage? check
Brand new (free with purchase of cargoes :thumbsup2 ) lime green carryon? Check.
ME tags and booklet? Check
Other paperwork? Check
Planning notebook with all ADRs? Check
note journal and mini pen for recording some thoughts? check
cargos that fit? Check (thanks diet going off-rail....:rolleyes1 )
BRAND NEW POTC wallet on a chain!?! Check.

I am still (impatiently) waiting on the polo shirts I ordered Spencer that I have to embroider. (I got ones for HHBG too, but I don't know if I am going to have the time to do them...if not...IP-Dip Fry Daddy Dude Fest!!)

I only have 2 fulls days of outfits for each kid done. I better get crackign there. Spencer's stuff was causing me headaches, but, since I have decided I am unable to comply with some of his requests, it has gotten a lot easier. :thumbsup2

I also caved and bought Brianna 2 outfits, adn traded for another. If I don't get the ones I plan on makign her done, the ones I got are AWESOME. I got all of them from DISBoutiquers (shout out!).

I can NOT believe we are under 4 weeks!! I am :cool1: and :scared1: at the same time. Less DISing and more Sewing!! Got the new work computer up and running, so the embroidery machines are ready to go. :thumbsup2

I KNOW I have forgotten to do something....plan something...It's drivign me nuts....:scared:

Oh well....hopefully it's nothing important....

........KEVIN!!! Sorry....bad joke.

Hi Angela! How was the trip home?

relieving. HHBG and I are wiped out. All we did all weekend, it felt like was talk about the Bear Stearns stuff....and we had to sleep in a double bed. :scared: I need a 48 hour nap.

Thanks for the welcome! Working on the UES is not good for my credit card :lmao:

It's hard. HHBG works in midtown, and we live up in wetchester (just), but I really have the NYC attitude about purses and shoes....probably from the 2 years we lived in Jersey City. I dunno. :confused3

Yeah. Food in WDW is an interesting event for me. Sometimes I feel like such a food snob, but I really expect a restaurant to meet expectations. What you say about Italian not outside of NYC, I am similar with sushi. there are VERY FEW places I will eat sushi outside of NYC (well, and probably areas of california if I ever went there). I enjoy eating at Olive garden, for example, because I know what to expect...same with a lot of chain restaurants and fast food joints (man, I have been CRAVING Carl's Jr.! They need one in NY!!), but I am a real snot when restaurants don't meet my expactations. if the restaurant is hyped, it better deliver. So, I liked Tony's and Flyig fish, and a bunch of other places, but V&A, which was hyped through the roof, wasn't even close. Daniel, it was NOT.

And I HATE almost all buffets. HHBg loves china buffets. *shudder* I need some serious giftage to go eat at one of those... :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Dude!!!!!

I guess you gotta get crackin on that sewing......

Did someone say toiletries...?

It looks like plans are shaping up well.....

Shoes and handbag shopping is so much fun. I've bought shoes and gotten clothes to go with them. Your shoe porn post has inspired me to possibly doing one for my ptr. I think it's a disorder:lmao:

I agree with not eating sushi everywhere. My favorite sushi restaurant is actually in California. I LOVE Sushi Roku in Santa Monica. It is the best. I usually order from Wasabi Lobby on 82nd and 2nd. If you're ever visiting your husband in Midtown, definitely try it. Have you tried Nobu?

I'm glad we didn't make ADRs for V&A. I've been to Daniel's and LOVED it. V&A seems too be more hype :confused3

I got a tee shirt embroidered today, am prewashing a bunch (It's in the dryer), and am in the middle of an "ariel Pink" dress for Brianna. I am starting to worry about those polos though.

V&A was nice, but it was just...boring to me. Typical food. Nothing awesome or blow-your-socks off good and nothing "new" or "different".

I need to go to CA.....

Heh - if you end up moving to Chicago, I might need to hook you up with a friend of mine, who can be a serious foodie when she feels like it. She organized a group of us to do monthly excursions to restaurants that she picked, most of which were pretty interesting - and my first experiences with spending over $100 for a couple for dinner. ;) Not sure how current she is now that she has a rambunctious 2 year-old, tho.

However, I've also gotten a bit pickier about sushi over the years, too. There's a pretty decent place not far from us, and sometimes we go with a client who tends to give the chef free rein to create stuff for him, which can be very yummy.

WTH!?!

So, the kids were off on Friday and Monday for the easter holiday (who cares that they go to public school....:rolleyes1 ). SO, today they went back to school.

TOMORROW they have a half day. :headache:

And I have another parent-teacher conference to attend...this time for the little boy....according to him, it's because he calls out answers in class without being called on (this is a problem at home, too). Gotta LOVE that teacher-parent communication....i would prefer if these things weren't a surprise.... :headache:

Sewed and ironed all day.....my back is KILLINg me! (they need a hurt-back smiley)

Dude....HHBG didn't get the "Kevin" joke. can you believe he has never seen Home Alone!?! What kind of alien did I marry? :sad2:

Finished the Dumbo tee, so that outfit is DONE.

Embroidered Ariel dress, so I have about 1 hour left on that one.

I also found this AWESOME animal crossing sign fabric I am going to attempt to make a camp shirt out of for Spence to wear to AK....he LOVES animals, so we tell him the AK day is all for him, since the princess stuff is all for Brianna... I have an "easy" pattern....we'll see if they tell the truth.....mabe I'll do a practice shirt in a different fabric.....like one of my Mickey Sheets!! Cool beans!

AND

the shirts arrived!! A box full of blank kids' tees (for under dresses when I sell them to avoid making a world of peasant tops), a bundle of 3X polos for my uncle's retirement present, Polos for HHBG to embroider with disney characters (if I have time), and polos for Spencer to wear and protect his neck with some of the shorts I made. :thumbsup2

And I ironed a bunch of stuff while I washed and embroidered, so I am getting free space for cutting....:rolleyes1

I am going ot have to get more efficient.....
