He's still there! Last time I was there (in December) he & his jail cell were being refurbished, but it was posted on Knotts' Facebook page that he's back & ready to greet people

He just brings back so many memories for me. As a kid when I found out the family was going back to DL and Knotts I always looked forward to seeing Joe. I even had him "smile" for a picture one year. I remember us sitting there having a real conversation one time so one of my parents must have been feeding him information as I stood there just chatting up a storm with him. I mean I think that's how it works...here i am a parent myself and I stilld don't know how they did it. lol
Yep...that's how it works ...it was kind of like getting "the news about Santa Claus" when I figured out how it was done (I was about 10). Do you remember when he had a "friend"? There used to be a skeleton in an outhouse by the Haunted Shack, that would also talk the same as Sad Eye Joe. I remember screaming and running when that skeleton called me by name

I don't remember the skeleton. I only remember Sad Eye Joe. Wasn't there like a mini graveyard you could walk through and when you stood on one of the graves you could feel a heartbeat?
