What is the "Kiss Goodnight?" Is that when Mickey's on the train station at MK waving to everyone as they leave when MK closes?

What is the "Kiss Goodnight?" Is that when Mickey's on the train station at MK waving to everyone as they leave when MK closes?

Some call that the kiss goodnight, but, no matter what the appropriate name is..................most call the kiss goodnight the thing where normally after closing or later at night on a late closing night ..............the castle starts doing cool light things and "When you wish upon a star" is played after a narration of Walt's dream and yada yada yada. It is very touching and emotional.

We go a lot and we try to see the Kiss Goodnight anytime we close the park....we love it.

Thanks!! It sounds deliciously sentimental. Right up my alley. How do I get to see it? Stay in the Magic Kingdom until security shoos me out? I'll be there in December and am planning to be in the MK late on two evenings - one is MVMCP and the other is EMH. Will it happen on those nights? Should I plan on "closing" the MK on another night? I've been to Disney 9 times, and there is always something new to make you cry "happy tears." In March it was "Wishes."

I saw this past Thurs and it was beautiful. We just stayed around the Partners statue after Wishes for a while (there were several people) and saw it. It helped to just stay put while the massive crowd went towards the exit.
