Kirstie Alley in a BIKINI on Oprah!

I don't understand why everyone thinks she is lying. I am 5'7" and when I weighed 145, I wore a size 14 and was a LOT bigger than she is in that photo. Everyone carries weight differently, and why does everyone care anyway??

Wow. "The right"??? :confused3
Last time I checked, we women were allowed to wear whatever we liked and even allowed to vote!

Tracy
We're allowed to vote????
Dang, now you tell me!
Off to vote... :moped: ;)

Actually I think she did right by choosing a two piece.

In that pic her stomach, which is usually the hardest to trim, looks great!

Now she is a bit hippy though, so if she had choosen a one piece she would actually be covering up her best part (the waist and chest) while still showing and even emphasizing more of her thighs.

In this case I think the two piece showed off her best assets. JMO.
I totally agree. Covering her belly would be an injustice, it looks awesome.

To critique it even further, LOL cause I have nothing better to do, she could have gone with a dark bikini bottom and a brighter top (where the background would match the bottom) to bring the focus higher.

And that's coming from a guy, by the way who thinks a gal really has to earn the "right" to put on a two piece, and no way does she have the "right" yet.

I think you should post a pic of yourself in swimming attire and let us judge if you've earned the "right" to wear it. ;) :teeth:

Yup! You can even vote in a bikini if you want! (Although I see you are in Michigan, so I wouldn't recommend it!) :cold:

I think she looks GREAT...but the numbers aren't right. She may have lost 70 lbs, but her starting weight had to be higher than what they admit to.

She doesn't have to "earn the right" to wear anything. It's her body, & her issues, so she can do whatever she wants. If she's comfortable doing it, we have no right to judge.

You know..maybe she just doesn't carry her weight well. She looked heavier than what she claimed her "before weight" was and now she looks heavier than her "after weight". That could just poor genetics.

I like your thinking! :thumbsup2 However, inward ugliness should be taken into account as well. ;)

Yeah, Really. But he probably only thinks that women have to earn the "right" to wear something...

I'm a really bad judge of weight so I just don't know about the 145. I will say I thought her legs still looked quite big, especially with the help of hose. I'm a mere 5'2 but at 140 I was wearing a size 6. Most people guessed I weighed 120-125. I think so much is dependent upon muscle mass, etc.

Did anyone else see Oprah's jeans show? Nearly all of the women she helped said they were 8's or 10's and I thought some looked waaaay bigger. Also, Oprah said she wears a 10 and she looks bigger to me. Who knows?

I'm also 5'2 and 123lbs. I get get into some 6's but mostly wear an 8, so I agree that it is all in your build.

While she may not be 145, I think she is pretty close. I weigh 150lbs and am 5'7". If you took the weight (that I could stand to lose) from my "baby pouch" and put it on my thighs, I think it would be close to her. I wear a size 12 (sometimes a 10) yet my friend who is closer to 200lbs (she is just a tad taller than me) also wears the same size. She has to wear a looser cut because all of her weight is on her legs while mine is on my waist. It all depends on where you are carrying your weight.

Correct me if I am wrong but they said she started at 220 and has lost 75lbs. Doing the math would make her around 165, wouldn't it? She does look great, no matter what she weighs, when you compare her to her first apperance.

For that matter, why doesn't dude post a picture of his face and we can all judge whether he has the right to walk down the street without a gas mask on.

no, 220 - 75 = 145, check your calculator.

I think she might be about 145. I'm 5' 9" and 145 is about as low as my ever yo-yoing weight goes. When I'm at 145, I don't think I look as good as she does and heck I'm not 55years old.

Whatever her weight, she seriously looks good.

I think she looks great and good for her for losing the weight...but add me to the list of people that don't believe she's 145

OMG, you are right wonder what the heck is wrong with the calculator! LOL! couldn't be the user!

Part of the issue is where she said she started, and it was much more than 220, but we see that all the time. Look at how much they fudge the weight on Fit Club.
