What's with these things? We bought a pack for Thanksgiving. There are 3 left and they are pristine! Fresh, soft, not a speck of mold. Do they utilize Twinkie technology? I'm frightened...we ingested these things! :scared1:

I'm scared to know, but I don't care what they are/use, they are so yummy! My family makes the most delicious little creations out of them and gobbles them up! They are a special treat for us. For Superbowl, we make little mini cheeseburger sliders on them and they awesome!

They ARE yummy. But they are now a science experiment. Four weeks and counting.

That is a little scary!:scared1: Maybe I shouldn't read anymore because I happen to love them too!:lmao:

I LOVE bread, but I can't stand those rolls. I don't like my dinner rolls sweet :crazy2:.

King's Hawaiian Sweet Bread is a worse addiction than crack. Tread lightly.

Ha... this thread is humorous, and suffice it to say makes me giggle, and in a good way... :)
I too, love thees little rolls. And just yesterday, the two that I have remaining from Thanksgiving day, are still looking good. Am thinking though that perhaps I should not anger the big Kahunas by keeping them for so long, without actually ingesting them. And I probably should not question the ingredients either. I have never looked at said ingredients, because typically when doing so in general, one needs to have taken organic chemistry, in order to understand them. he he... Anyway... ..love mine with butter, without butter, with mayo or without added with that tasty little meats, yum yum.... I really love cheese too. I am a cheese freak, and I am proud to admit it....
OK, so I was just informed by a most reliable source that the secret to long term freshness is that a very special and secretive ritual is performed by the little mini huna men that live in Hawaii. It is due to these special little men, that we are blessed with such freshness, taste and flavor. Plus it helps to keep them tightly wrapped up in their package. After all, it too is covered by the ritual. I actually know of the details of said ritual, however, have already been threatened by the minis where they will place a curse upon my mortal soul. Therefore, I am so sorry but I cannot divulge their secret ritual after all. I can now take a deep sigh of relief, for the last mini huna man just removed his sharp instrument from my posterior. Never, ever, I repeat never, ever make a mini huna man angry, it ain't pretty, neither are the minis. Bad teeth, terrible odor, as the only time that they take a bath, is the same way for the sloth, being either when it rains, or they fall into water, or someone throws water on them. The latter not being so easy, because unlike the sloth, the mini hunas are fast, furious, and have been known to emit gaseous odors that scientists to this day are still studying the side effects of. That odor is so bad, that it makes them otherwise smell like a rose. OK, so where were we? Oh yes..... Anyway, please pass a roll, and don't forget the butter or else! ............................................................................... ;)

Y'all have been to the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, right? Okay, it's not KING'S Hawaiian Sweet Bread, but it is Hawaiian Sweet Bread (the appetizer). OMG. Hawaiian Sweet Bread plus a Kona Cool Sundown is heaven.

Okay NOW I know what eating these things will do to ya.

the real mystery is how you haven't eaten them yet :lmao::rotfl2:

those things barely make it the first night when i buy them... dh thinks they're like cookies

I took a look at my remaining two rolls just last night, and so far, so good. They are still nice and soft, and are calling my name. But I am going to wait even longer before noshing upon them. When I do, no one get in my way, and please do not disturb me while immersed in my Kings Hawaiian rolls, with butter of course, because remember, everything is always better with butter...... or cheese.... or deepfried...... or all of the above. :)

How about Hawaiian Rolls stuffed with cheese & deep fried in butter! :rotfl:

Never had these, but are they OK for small ham sandwiches for Christmas? Someone answer quickly because I'm off to the grocery store soon. :)

I remember years ago, one of my friend's kids had all kinds of food allergies, and that was the only bread he could eat-I want to say its Wheat-free?

Nope. Full of wheat.

I actually cannot think of something in every other type of bread but not these rolls.
