Kingdom Tower DVC at the Contemporary (Orlando Sentinel 2/26/08)

Now its just a waiting game to see when sales will start. Since the building will not be open until fall of 2009, I think we will sales start next February.

Since the point cost will be the highest of all the DVC's, I guess there won't be a big price jump either. So I am going to guess $110 per point.

Fall of 2009.... it's like they read my mind. That is exactly the timeframe when I was thinking I'm going to "need" to add up at the contemporary. My stepson is going to UCF this fall, and that means lots of trips for us to see him there. For the rest of 2008 and 2009 I'm covered with the number of points I have right now, but they will go soon and we will need MORE MORE MORE.

Now, why are they calling it Kingdom tower? Will it have a kingdom (maybe princesses) type of theme? I WANT DETAILS!!!

think they are just referring to its location. it is definitely the closest resort to the magic kingdom.

so Kingdom Towers.

the swimming pool is surpose to be shaped like Mickey's head.

already call my guide - but Judy won't be in until this afternoon.

I found this interesting.

I wonder how that will all play out. :scratchin "status" and a "new condominium association????

Oh, And you all were so wrong!!! The monorail access is on the 5th floor!:lmao: not the 4th! ;)
popcorn::
Each DVC resort has its own separate condominium association, which manages that particular resort. All revenues and expenditures which pertain to that resort go through the condo association. The creation of a new condo association is just a normal requirement of selling timeshares.

Can we start a campaign to change the name?

KINGDOM TOWER???? Are they kidding?

I live in the Bible Belt.... Trust me this brings up visions of Oral Roberts, Jerrry Falwell etc.... Personally the name alone will make me afraid to stay there. I do NOT want to tell my friends I vacation at Kingdom Tower!!!

They mentioned 1 and 2 bedroom with higher point values...does this mean they may not even offer studios? Plus, I bet the MK view points will be a whole lot higher than non view...

So, how many of us will be calling our guides today to get more information?

I don't know. this concerns me too. been trying to find out about studios. but the plans only mention the 2 and 3 bedrooms.

if they start saying their studio (kitchennett) is a 1-bedroom like the other timeshares - this thing is going to be expensive....

hope not!!! let's hope DVC didn't forget us studio lovers.

Not me. The boards always have the better information and first. Second, they probably still are not allowed to say anything.

I bet the article is going to force thier hand to make an announcement.

Can't wait. I was working on my 2009 plans yesterday, so maybe there will be another option for either my October and December 2009 trips.
