Kingdom Keepers V

Do you need to read those books in order? My dd has read the first but not the rest. Does she need to read 2-4 to understand what is happening in 5?

I think you could probably get by reading them out of order but there will be some pieces in the story that don't make sense. But it wouldn't be so much it took away from the book.

I started book 5 last night.

My 11yo daughter has read the other 4 and loves them!!!! She got KK V in last week and was screeching!!!! I just asked her if you can read them out of order, and she says no way! She said it would be way too confusing to follow, but thats just her opinion....
She is saving it for our "Dream" cruise in 28 days!!! She is so exciting but WILL NOT start it until our flight. Im actually thinking of starting the series myself on my Nook as well! :)

How many pages are these books? My DS is a very quick reader & I'd like to load these on his nook color as part of my surprise for this trip...if I can get him to start reading these now he could ideally be on or just finish book 5 in time for our cruise on the Dream next month!!

**He has NO idea we are going on this vacay!!**:woohoo:

I'd never heard of the series until your post, but once I looked them up on Amazon, I knew my kids would love them! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm reading the first now and it is 203 pages.

Perfect!!! He'll breeze right through them! He'd probably be just finishing book 4 by the time we leave since he has testing this week he can start Thursday! :thumbsup2

KBT35 just fyi if your interested,
Book 2(paperback) is 377 pages, Book 3(paperback) is 545 pages, and Book 4 (hardcover) is 433 pages...

Hmmm....ok that does change things a bit...I know he can do 350-400 pages a week when he really likes a book...well we'll just have to see...not a real big deal I think he'll enjoy them regardless and it may be very cool for him to not get to book 5 until after the cruise then he can lament! :upsidedow

I just finished Kingdom Keepers V and loved the book. Each book in the series is better than the one before. I still get nervous on It's A Small World, don't know what it will be like when I return to Castaway Cay in July. I recommend the books to anyone of any age. My DD(15) got me hooked. I finished this book before she even started it.

I may need to take a break from Game of Thrones and read these myself! LOL

I pre-ordered it from Amazon, but I am still waiting for it to ship. I am flying to the USA for our next vacation on April 26th and I am hoping that it is here by then as I am planning to save this for the flight.

When we did the Panama Canal cruise last year, Ridley Pearson was on board and I managed to get the first three books signed. In his presentation, he told us that it would be set on the Fantasy. I wonder why he changed it to the Dream.

I've got all four both as books and audio books. Book five seems to be doing a very good job of catching you up on the important things from books 1-4 as they become relevant to the new story. So I think if you have missed some of them you will still be good with book 5.

I would suggest reading them in order. Although the author spends way to much time re-capping, they definitely are sequential.
