Kingdom Hearts vs. Fantasmic??

What in the world is Kingdom Hearts?? I was snooping on another board , and they were discussing the ideal of replacing Fantasmic with Kingdom Hearts. NOTHING OFFICIAL, just fun discussion. But I'm clueless on what it is??? Is it a Disney cartoon or video game? Thanks!!!

Kingdom Hearts are two games by Squaresoft, played on Playstation2. They are Final Fantasy series based games with Disney characters.
Role play style, lots of puzzles and other thngs to figure out in game, not just find enemies and slash them.
Great music, cool storyline and just very well done.

I don't play but I love watching my boys and DH play. We liked the soundtrack for the first game so much that we bought it at full price- yikes Japanese import and very hard to find at the time.

How it could become something like Fantasmic! I don't know.

I have both games, the second one is way better, and if your a gamer and a disney nut, kingdom hearts 1 and 2 are the end all be all games for you. prerection in storytelling and action.

I havent played it in awhile, but i think Donald has a magic spell with fireworks, his best move called Fantasmic, though im not sure, its really flashy though.

The other board (mousepad) was talking about updating Fantasmic, and how Kingdom Hearts would be a good replacement. Having no clue what the game entails, I'm not sure what they're talking about. They just said the characters could be woven into a plot or something like Fantasmic. Still use all of the laser and water effects, but a different story line. Who knows??? I was just curious what in the world they were talking about. I doubt that, that would happen. I think they were just having fun speculating. Thanks for your info.

There are Disney characters in Kingdom Hearts. Without reading the way their comments were worded it is hard to say, but i am guessing their comments had to do with the Disney characters in Kingdom Hearts doing something, not anything in real life.

The story behind the game involves a lot of Disney characters and whatnot, so they were probably saying that the story of Kingdom Hearts would make a good Fantasmic like show.

I could see how characters from KH could easily be added to Fantasmic, or how it could be used to replace the current show. The villians do have at least one scene in the game (still playing it for the first time) where they are all together, and where they plot together, and the good guys are a kid, Goofy and Donald, with movie "stars" helping them out on different stages. It sets up into a good good vs. evil story, much as Fantasmic already is.

I think kids might take to a KH show very well. Instead of having Mickey as the lead, you'd have the main character Sora, who I think is like 13 in the first game. If Disney is about imagination, children would have an easier time picturing themselves bannishing evil as Sora instead of as Mickey.

If Disney wanted to freshen up the show, and I'm not saying they should, this would be an easy, quick and cheap way to do it. You could do it by adding a man dressed in overalls and carrying a large sword-like weapon. and maybe add some of the evil characters who could just be people in all black.

I would totally disagree with them changing "Fantasmic!" to add scenes from Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. For starters, the only people that could follow the changes are those that have played the games while everyone else would be standing around clueless. I would SO love to play KH, but I don't own a Playstation 2 console and have been missing out on a lot of good games.

On YouTube, I watched scenes of KH when there was glitches in dialogue, or when the game does a memory boost and botches up what the characters are saying. They're plain hilarious, I thought I was going to die laughing, but all the while I had no idea what was going on!

even though i have never stayed and watched fantasmic, (i hear its great) i, personally, would change it to KH 1 or 2. just 2 see sora "in person" would be sweet!!!!
