Kingdom Hearts Characters

We bought my son the Playstation 2 game from Disney called Kingdom Hearts. Has anyone seen the Characters from the game? The action figures were recently released. The main characters are the Hero SORA, the Princess KIRI and the Villain RIKU.

I am 25 and female and have to say that Kingdom Hearts is the best video game EVER!!!

I can't wait for the sequel.

Unless I am mistaken (I should just start ALL posts with that disclaimer ), many of the secondary characters in the game originated in Square's Final Fantasy series of games. I believe that the main characters in KH (Sora, Kairi, Riku) are all unique to this game. But many of the other non-Disney folks that populate the game have appeared in the Final Fantasy games.

My teenage son is a gamer and says he's seen the action figures at our local "MediaPlay" retail store.
If you don't have one close, try a website--I'm guessing it would be "www.mediaplay.com".OR go to Google.com and type in kingdom hearts action figures--you may get other sites selling them as well.

He can't remember the price, but is sure they were reasonable.

Yes, many of the other characters are from the Final Fantasy series. Cloud, Yuffie & Aeris are from 7, Cid has been the name of characters in just about all of them, Squall (I can't remember the name he took in KH) is from 8. Moogles have been in many of the games as well. They were the "save point" in 9. One of Sora's keyblades is a chocobo keyblade, also from the FF series. Sephiroth, one of the hidden boss battles in KH, is the main bad guy from FF7. A certain vignette in the closing credits warms the hearts of anyone who has played FF7

I'm replaying through FFX now, impatiently waiting for FFX-2.

As popular at the game is, I wouldn't be surpised if Disney is working on bringing the characters to the parks.

I freely admit that I'm no video game expert, but isn't Final Fantasy [insert sequel number here] kind of an oxy moron? If the first was the Final Fantasy, how can there be a second final fantasy? I don't get it!!!

Squaresoft, the company that makes the final fantasy series, put everything they had into the first final fantasy. If the game hadn't been a success, it would have been the final game produced by the company. Someone in the company dubbed it Final Fantasy & the name has stuck ever since.

Also, they have never done a direct sequal to their final fantasy games until now. A direct sequal to FF10 is coming out in Japan in March. So, up until now, each game was a stand-alone story set in a completely different universe. They were connected by things like the chocobos, spells, & summons.

My son(7) is nuts for Kingdom Hearts. He beat the game after playing it on and off for 4 months. If he saw characters from this (esp. Sora) He would flip-
I guess it is unlikey since they are Squaresoft characters- is there anything Kingdom Hearts oriented at DisneyWorld- does anyone know?

We have this game too - but did not see any characters from the game in January at WDW.
