King size fitted sheet-deep pocket needed?

Several of you have mentioned that you bring a king size fitted sheet with you, as the flat ones don't stay tucked in very well. I experienced this in January and thought I would buy a fitted king sheet before my next trip. Does a regular king sheet fit the mattresses or do they require a sheet with the deeper pockets?

This was the case for us in a BWV studio in Feb. Our queen size bed mattress pad didn't fit the bed and would pop up and all the sheets would be messed up by the morning. I was thinking of bringing a fitted sheet from home to help this problem.

One suggestion - make sure it isn't white or a light color. Mousekeeping may mistake it for their own and take it during cleaning.

Good suggestion, but, not necessary if Mousekeeping is doing their normal T&T. Daily cleaning would not be a worry either as the remake the bed.

Sheryl is right, use a sheet that's obviously yours.

We spent two nights at BCV, and never expected housekeeping. You can imagine our surprise when we came back to the room on the second day to find that it had been completely cleaned.

It's best to be prepared.
