Does anyone know if there are rooms with king beds in the Magnolia Bend mansions? We have reserved a king bed for our stay in May and would really like to stay in one of the mansions, Oak Manor preferrably. Thanks for all your answers. pixiedust:

yup, stayed in Mansions in Sept in a king bedded room. It is slightly more expensive but is guarenteed a king by paying the higher price. Some of the king bedded rooms are also corner rooms with two windows, very nice for natural light.

Which mansion did you stay in and which floor. Just trying to get a general consensus. Thanks.

We have stayed in a King Room at POR twice - both times we were given a room in the mansions section - magnolia terrace building. Both rooms were on the first floor. One room was a corner room with two windows, one was a regular room with one window and both had connecting doors. Neither was HA or had a special bathroom

definnitely one of the mansions but honestly do not remember which . I believe there are 8 king bedded rooms per mansion building per floor if I remember correctly? I did a lot of reading up on it before our trip b/c it was our anniversary! you could check allears.net, they might have it in their description or someone may chime in here. We are in AB this time as we need the trundle for the kids. Not looking forward to it as much, so sad to say! I mean, it is Disney! I'm just a 'lux girl. I can do woodsy and camp anytime. Feel the same about WL! silly I know. Now AKL, I'm just waiting for the day I can stay there (to many in my family for now).

I know exactly what you mean. Whenever my DH suggests going camping I always ask if he means camping at the Marriott :lmao: Being from Maine I am surrounded by woodsy and campy and while I love living in Maine especially on the coast where we live, the woodsy, campy feeling isn't what I want my vacation to be about, bring on the "southern "Gone with the Wind" mansions. (I'll bring my own Rhett Butler :rotfl: ) But the AB section at POR doesn't hold my interest at all. I'm hoping Parterre Place or Oak Manor. Just have to wait and see.:flower1:

We have also stayed in the mansions inthe Oak building. I did call before we left and requested the mansions, which we did receive. Also we did pay for the king bed.

I stayed in one in 2002. Magnolia Terrace, 2nd floor corner room. 8767 I think. We paid for the king, but requested the mansions.
