Yeah.. That's the part I hate most. I have some garden beds that need weeding desperately, but, then I think about how much fun it will be to airlift to Miami. Oh yeah, and still most certainly lose at least one finger because of that delay. I have shovel-pruned more pygmy rattlers and coral snakes than I care to count. And those are just the ones that don't run away when I stomp my feet and otherwise encourage them to go elsewhere. If they hang around threatening and won't shuffle off, they get shovel pruned. I'm still waiting for the day I find some fool's released exotic pet. We used to see iguanas regularly, but, between a few years of hard freezes and the reduced popularity I haven't seen a feral one in probably a decade now.
Lived way up north for a few years, and actually started to miss the thrill of "oh god, is it venemous!?!" while gardening.. Here it's more like gardening- extreme edition.
