King bed Q.

Is there such a thing as a standard room with a king-sized bed and a day bed? King alone? What about a single queen bed and a day bed? I'm having the dickens of a time trying to find out. It doesn't really matter which resort, we'll figure out the $$ later. We just want a place where our 2 DS (ages 3 & 5) can sleep together and we can sleep without them!

The day beds..aren't daybeds like you would think.

Think of them more of a large toybox size, with a cusion on top, for the most part.

Why not try WL or AKL, where you can get a bed for you and hubby and bunkbeds for the kids. That might be fun.

You can have two queen beds at the Swan.

The standard set up at the resorts is usually either 2 double or queen beds - if you bump up to a deluxe resort you can get 2 queen beds and a daybed. You can get a King bed room at most resorts but that will be the only bed in the room as far as I'm aware. You can also get the 1 queen bed with a set of bunk beds at both WL and AKL. And of course if you book at a home away from home resort -- FW cabins or any of the DVC resorts -- you can get an entire separate bedroom with a King bed in the master bdrm and a pull out sofa in the living room (you must get a 1bdrm or larger unit for this configuration at the DVC resorts and FW will not have a pull out sofa bed, it will have a murphy bed in the living room).

If all you are looking for is to have 1 bed for you and dh and another for your children though -- Why not just put the kids in the 2nd bed ? You can get bed rails from housekeeping. All you need to do is either request them when you book or ask for them at check in. They do not charge for this and I've never had a problem getting them. Otherwise, as posted you could do WL or AKL with the bunk beds if you can get one of those rooms or any of the other configuations I mentioned.

The Contemporary definitely has **some** rooms with a King size bed and a day bed. I've only seen these rooms in the garden wing rooms ... not sure about the tower rooms.

The day bed in these rooms is the same as in the other rooms. It is like a single bed ... and is quite comfortable.
