Is it possible to get a king bed room at WL? DH and I are staying there in Aug. w/out our kids, and we'd love just 1 bed in the room. We booked a standard view room. Tanks for your help!

The Lodge has 37 Lodge rooms with King beds double as the barrier-free (handicap-accessible) rooms and have a large shower with no tub.

* Note there are more then 37 rooms with King size beds, So yes there are regular King size bed rooms with full baths.

*Posted by HLAuburn We were upgraded to a courtyard from a standard. We were assigned one of the illusive king rooms with a tub (4129). Great location, great view, nice room, no complaints whatsoever.

*Posted by SkipperBubbaI had a king bed room (#5075) that was on the lobby end of the courtyard. It was right next to the Sunrise Terrace, just up a floor... directly above the creek as it exits the lobby. The room had a standard tub and it was wonderful to get up and look out over the courtyard and bay. It was our honeymoon... and the room was perfect.

If you have booked a standard room you will have to upgrade to either a Woods (Lodge) View or Courtyard View to get a King Size Bed, but others have received upgrades at check-in without the additional charge.

Good Luck

DH & I stayed in #6134 (or at least it looks like a "4" written down, might be a "9". :rotfl2: ) a couple months ago. It was a handicap-accessible king bed room, but we didn't miss having a tub at all. Honestly, it seemed like the bathroom was a lot roomier because of it although I have nothing to compare it to.

It's a courtyard view room but it was definitely worth every single penny. :goodvibes Here's hoping for an upgrade for you!

Found this thread in a search.

So, are their any king bed rooms that are "standard view?"

The best way to get a king bed room that is NOT HA is to be upgraded to courtyard?

Does anyone have a floorplan layout or pictures of thier king bed rooms? Only pictures and room layouts I have seen are 2 queens or 1 queen and bunk beds.

I have requested a room for my parents to be a king bed room. As long as they don't plan to take baths will the HA bath be ok?

It's amazing the number of king bed rooms to 2 beds rooms at all the resorts :sad2:

TIA
