King arthur's carosel down?

I just saw a pic on a miceage post that had the following caption,

'King Arthur Carrousel is having mechanical issues and it is unkown when it will be ready to reopen'

Can anyone in the park confirm this? Or has anyone heard anything about it.

With our trip at t minus 33 days, i am trying to mointor closures and issues so i can be ahead of the game. With King Tritons Carasel scheduled to be down, Arthur's down as well would be devastating to my DW. She LOVES to ride on the Mary Poppins Horse. PP bing scheduled down for our trip is also not boding well. If Dumbo goes down i think the world will end!!

So anyone got any info on the Carosel?

The people on micechat, and the people who write the articles, are right most of the time. I can remember only ONE nasty little rumor that got started over there that was completely wrong, but that's it in around 2 years of playing on both sites.

I don't see where you are reading that info (I skimmed the In The Parks article you referred to in your other post but b/c of the skimming I might have missed that) but if it's current, etc, it might very well be right.

I would just try to make sure your daughter knows that anything might be out of order while they keep things safe for everyone...

If it is a deal-breaker for your trip, I would suggest calling Disneyland directly (714-781-4000) and asking them.

Also, it is possible for anything to go down during a trip. I STRONGLY suggest talking with your family before your trip and helping everyone understand that a Disneyland visit should not be ruined by one or two things being down. There s SOOOOO much to enjoy. (And, yes, I DO understand. I waited YEARS to see Country Bear Jamboree at WDW only to have it "in hibernation" during our entire visit. It was a bummer, but it did not end the universe.)

Okay I found it. Just a random photo and quick mention. Until disney says it is down for a long while I wouldn't worry just yet.

King Arthur Carrousel is very old and that means finding replacement parts can be hard to do. The last refub of King Arthur Carrousel involved finding the parts and totally restoring it.

It was scheduled to be down tues. I was there Wed, and I was just recalling that I don't remember hearing the music from it. It was so peaceful...LOL
