Oh good Lord, what I wouldn't give for any one of those KNIGHTS..... I liked the whole take on the King Arthur tale...very different but entertaining.

Actually, this version doesn't delve into the romance side of it much, just a subplot.

According to IMDB, it's written by David Franzoni who wrote Gladiator and Amistad.

The romance was there, but very minor part of story. It was a lot of battles and soul searching on the part of our hunky lead, Arthur, and you know, good vs. evil. I thoroughly enjoyed it and as I said, it is quite a different take on the King Arthur stories most of us are familiar with. I believe it actually takes place WAY before any Arthur/Lancelot tales I'm familiar with. It is in 459 A.D.

Oogie: Beings you saw this, and not to give anything anyway, were you surprised at a couple of happenings in it? I know I was.

Definitely was suprised at some stuff. Some things still didn't make sense to me - didn't seem like the some of the timing/timeline didn't quite make sense. But, since I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't watched it, I'll keep it to myself.

I just got back from seeing this, and I thought it was great. I loved that they took a historical approach instead of rehashing the same old literary myth.

I especially loved Kiera Knightly; what a treat to see a different interpretation of Guinivere. She was a vital component to the major battle scenes, and kicked some major Saxon butt.

This was soooooo much better than that version they did back in the mid-90's with Sean Connery and Richard Gere (wasn't that a Disney product too?)

Definitely go see it when you get the chance!
