Was just looking at the online calendar (which is a bit ahead of the app from what I’ve seen) and I see King Arthur’s Carrousel and Grizzly River Run appear to go into refurb on Jan 21 at the same time as Haunted Mansion.

I think I saw a comment somewhere mentioning King Arthur’s as upcoming and the wet rides are expected this time of year. But figured I’d make sure folks knew they were official.

I wonder how long King Arthur will take? Surely not months, like HM???

I haven’t seen an article on it like the big three 2020 refurbs announced, so I’m assuming it’s a standard refresh, but we’ll see.

Oh I hope this means splash isn’t going down that week 🤞🏻 For some reason I was thinking it was splash this year and had been nervous about our timing that week. They generally don’t go down together right... I know anything is possible buuuut so crossing my fingers.

Well, a lot of things we wanted to ride look to be going down in that time frame-ish. The plus side is we might have enough time open up in our schedule to see the parade Friday afternoon!

I am glad that we decided to come back in March 2021 though. I'm keeping a list of everything we didn't have time for/was closed/was too late at night for the tot to try the next year!

I think grizzly went down for a while last year. So hopefully it's just a quick one. Splash went down 2 years ago for a long time so if that goes down it should be short
Oh we were there when it was down for their looong refurb in 2018. I remember feeling so depressed seeing the scaffolding. I have missed it the last three trips between that and being pregnant. As long as splash is open the 20-24 I’m set 😂 this seems like a good indication it should be open I hope.

Grizzly was down February 2019 during President's week. Splash was open. I missed GRR! Splash was too splashy! lol

I've basically purchased hazmat suits for the entire family so that we can go on Splash 😁
Drench mountain 🤣

my friend and I went on it in May. We wore jackets, hats and had our hoods up and we STILL got soaked! So now the only way I’ll get on is if it’s raining and I have rain gear lol

We are planning a January visit with our two year old. It will be her first time but we are fairly well seasoned Disneyland visitors and can’t wait to share the magic with her. We are staying at BW across the street, and chose Tuesday the 21st as our day in the parks. Now I am heartbroken to see that the carousel will be down 😭 we live in Vegas so it’s a quick drive over and now I’m debating leaving earlier Monday to head over so we can have a half day at Disneyland to catch the carousel and Haunted Mansion before they go down. My concern is since it’s MLK and ROTR opening, will that Monday be absolute mayhem?? We chose Tuesday 1/21 for its likelihood of smaller crowds, making it more tolerable for a toddler’s first visit. We have a character breakfast booked on 1/22 (her actual birthday) too. I cannot wait for this trip!! 😊

No one will know how the new ride will cause crowds to be, but if you do decide to go early, maybe just stay away from the Star Wars area? If they do a boarding group it will most likely be just for that land, not other parts of the park

Oh I hope Splash Mt doesn't go down the next week when I'm there
