Kindle Fire Question

I'm thinking of ordering the Kindle Fire for my two DD's 5 and 6. They love playing games such as starfall.com and abcya.com. Will they be able to play games like these on the Kindle Fire?

Well first - check out the Amazon App store to see the games that are there right now. Amazon also offers a free app everyday and many of them are simple games. I'm being told that you will also be able to put the Google Marketplace Android games on the Fire also, but I don't have one to test that yet so don't take my word for it.

Second - I'm not familiar with either of those websites you posted but the Fire does have a web browser and from what I understand it plays flash. I'd need to know more about what those websites do to say whether or not they will work on the Kindle Fire though.

Personally, I don't think the Kindle Fire is what you want for a 5 and 6 year old. Go to the Amazon website and carefully read the description of the Fire to see if this is what you really want.

If this is just for playing games, get a dedicated gaming system.

I have one pre ordered for my 7 year old. Games, movies, music and books on one device! She has an older Touch but the screen is really small. She uses her DD's Ipad for some of these things but it's really too big for her small hands.

For her, this is potentially a perfect device. Time will tell......
