I have been to WDW more times then I can count but we have only been to US once and when we did that we just drove from Disney for the day. This time I have booked Portofino for a night at the end of our trip so I can get the FOTL use for 2 days. It will just be me and DD11 who is an adventurous eater. We prefer sit downs since DD is diabetic and the rest and cool off works well for her. Where is the best place to eat a lunch at both parks? Do they do advance reservations or can you walk up? We will be going the last week of June ( WWOHP crowds... cant wait;) )
Also... we will want to eat dinner at City Walk the one night... where is good and fun that an 11 year old will love?
Thanks so much!

A few that we'd suggest:
~ Mythos (IOA)
~ Louies Italian Restaurant (US)
~ Finnegans Bar & Grill (US)
~ Margaritaville (CityWalk)
~ Pastamore (CityWalk)

Unlike Disney, most Universal restaurants don't require reservations, however if you'd feel better with making one, you can just call 407-224-4012 for IOA restaurants and 407-224-3613 for Universal Studios restaurants.

Along with the list Bonny provided...I would also like to recommend Thunder Falls Terrace and Comic Strip Cafe at IOA. Both restaurants are excellent and serve a wide variety of food options.

If your looking for somewhere outside of the parks, on City Walk, then I love to eat at Hard Rock. I think the food is great

You would like Mythos...a wide variety of entrees. It may work as everything is made to order and if your daughter requires any modifications they are also very willing to accomodate.:thumbsup2

We've eaten at Finnegans and there are some very adventerous items particullarly in the apps.

Your staying at the PBH...youmay want to try Mamma Della's.

Enjoy your trip.:)

We like to eat at burger digs at ioa. They have a grilled chicken sandwich, a topping bar and you can sit down. It is a good place to cool down. Also it is a replica of: if you watch the first jurasic park at the end when the t rex eats the smaller dinosaur in the main lobby, that is where you are sitting. Also my ds loves pastamore (italian food) at citywalk. At the other park, we have eaten at almost all the places and don't seem to have anyone we really liked. Also there is margaritaville at citywalk if you like that theme. cheeseburger is good there. Also fyi, we get food at citywalk and take it in with us to the movies so we can sit and relax in a very cold place and eat and be entertained. If you are a AAA member you can get discount tickets to AMC theatres which is at disney and universal.

Does it take long to walk from the park gates to Citywalk? Is it too exhausting on a hot, September day?

You can be at City Walk within 5 min. from the parks. We love most of the restaurants already listed. Also, if you are a AAA member you will get a 10% discount at all the places listed plus stores and food carts.

Thanks guys! Mythos looks like a definate... it looks so neat inside so if the food is good sounds like a no brainer! And I just looked at Mama Dellas menu and it looks soooo yummy and its at our hotel... so many good suggestions and so little time lol... looks like I just need to come back soon to check them all out.
