Kinda Nervous

We are going on a big vacation to Rivera Maya (Mexico) in November. We usually go to DISNEY in November. The minute I booked the Mexican trip I wanted to be in Disney instead (no one understands).

NOW that free dining is back I have decided to take my 11 year old and make it a girls weekend with just her and I.

I have never been away with just 1 of the kids and not have hubby along. I am nervous and excited all at the same time! Excited cause we can come and go as we please and not have to worry about the baby's schedule and all. Nervous about traveling alone even though we have been to Disney 8 times.

I have also NEVER EVER EVER gone during the summer or on a school vacation. We always take the kids out but it's getting harder to do so the older they get.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble and wish us luck!!!!!!!!!!

ps-I made all my ADR's already and got every one and time I wanted

Good luck to you and DD. You'll have a great time. This June will be the first trip for just me and DD alone. In the past it has been us along with her dad and stepmom and other family members.

My DD and I took our first "Girls Only" trip as a surprise for her 10th birthday last September for five days. It was the first time we had traveled without DH and all of her older brothers. I was nervous about doing it all by myself too, but it all worked out just perfect. It was pure MAGIC!!! We flew, rented a car, made it to POP, and had a marveolus vacation just the two of us. It was a trip that she and I will never forget. OK, I must admit that we did get lost a few times, but that just added to the fun and we have never laughted so much. We were on "our" schedule and could do all of the "girly" stuff that the guys in the family never wanted to. (Princess character dining, Bibity Bobity Botique, shoppping, dinner in the castle...)

Best wishes to you and your daughter. IMHO you and your daughter will have the time of your life. We also had the free dining and LOVED it!!
