Kinda dumb DDP question

But I am gonna ask anyhow! :lmao:

I am going to Disney next month with my family for a grand gathering. Between the 9 of us going, we will have three rooms and be on the DDP. All along, I have been telling everyone that the entire crew's credits will be all on one card because we are travelling together.

It dawned on me this afternoon that this is probably wrong. On each card will be just the people who are registered to that room right?

The other part of my question... I know we will be charged a blanket gratuity because we are a larger group. Whose bill will that be put on? Will it be split among the three checks?

if you sit together you will all be brought one bill. it will be up to you how you pay for it. if you are at different tables and different adrs you will each be brought your own bill.
as far as whose credits are on whose cards? i would think that if you are im different rooms each room would be grouped together. but as long as everyone is in possession of their own card, it wont matter where they are alooted.

Each guest over 3 will have their own room key and all keys for a particular room will have access to all the dining credits for the occupants of that room. At seating, I would tell the server that you are all on the DDP and that you'll need separate checks for each family group. Each check will have the 18% gratuity listed on it, based on the items ordered by that family group.

Which always begs the question...can you trust your roomates? :rotfl2:

Me and my brother had one room and I ended up using 2/3 of the TS between us. He didn't really mind as he is a CS kind of guy annd wants to hit as many rides as possible.

Also, the Children and Adult meals are separately listed so you know how many of the type of credit you have left on your ticket.

Each guest over 3 will have their own room key and all keys for a particular room will have access to all the dining credits for the occupants of that room.

What about the 2-bedroom lock-offs at the DVC villas? Our DD and her family will be in one side while DH and I are in the other. Will they only have their credits on their cards or will all five people's credits be on all of our cards? TIA

We just had a two BR DVC ressie at AKL that was a 1 BR with a Studio lock-off (lacking real beds -- too many sofa beds !!) I had added the DDP to our reservation and used Disney Reward points (what a savings!) to pay for them when we checked in. My children are older, so it was 5 adult DDPs. All were considered the same reservation and we only had to ever use one card when we all dined together. The convenience is great, and I was glad nobody skipped eating or getting a drink to save a few dollars (as DH and DS #1 tend to do). After the fact, we realized we could have had a light breakfast each day using the snack points at the casual dining at AKL (yogurt, cereal, fruit, similar to what we eat at home) had we chosen to.

I would just confirm that when you check in, but I believe they consider it one room as long as it is one reservation / confirmation number.
