Kind of crazy Via Napoli question

I went to Via Napoli for the first time with some friends Friday night and it was amazing! So good in fact that I made an ADR for my mom's birthday in June. On Friday night we couldn't get an ADR and just did walk up and waited in line.

I was just wondering, if you do have an ADR what do you do? Do you stand in the line, just walk up to the desk outside or is there somewhere else you go?

Should be able to walk up to the desk in the front of the restaurant, give them your name, time, and party size, and then just wait to get called. Typically, you should show up ~15-20 minutes early. (If there's a line there, it usually goes quick(ish) to check people in.)

When we went to Via, there was a giant line of walk ups waiting outside. I went in to the hostess to ask if we needed to wait in line if we had an ADR and we did not. She took our name and we sat on the bench inside to wait. Only took about two minutes. They seemed to keep the walk ups separate in the line outside.
