Has anyone been there recently? What were your thoughts, still good sushi?

Also, I haven't been able to find recent posts, but it looks like they do not take reservations. Is that correct?

Thanks for any help! :)

Was there in October. Great sushi, as usual. It's always a fun stop - looking forward to another visit this fall. Only downside last fall was that the karaoke machine was not working that night, so I didn't get to thrill the other guests with my awesome repertoire of cheesy 70s and 80s tunes.

Well just found out they do not take reservations. FYI for anyone wanting to know.

At least that's what they told me. :confused3

They don't take reservations, but I can't recall ever having had much of a problem getting in. If there is a convention in the hotel, there might be a little wait, but most of the time it's just walk up - especially before 10pm.

My quick .02 on Kimonos:

1. It's good, and if I stayed at Swan again, I'd definitely go back - probably more than once during my stay. Again, It's good.
2. Some of the things on the menu seem nicely priced. Some of the things on the menu seem expensive. I would mostly order the things that seem nicely priced, because the quality is definitely there. IMO, those things were a pretty decent value.
3. For Disney World, I'd say it's a hidden gem. If you're struggling with finding a place to eat in the Epcot/DHS/Boardwalk area, and you like sushi, I'd say this place should be on your radar. It's not going to supplant your favorite 3 to 5 star sushi joint in your favorite big city, but for DW, it can be a surprisingly decent value.

We went there last week, solid sushi offerings, Gyoza and Wagyu skewers were also great. They had a great Japanese Brewed Belgian Ale with Yuzu that was great!

I had better sushi at Benihana's in the Hilton Lake Buena Vista but this was one of the best on property.

Their sushi is good, but the karaoke can be a real bummer. We tried to go there recently and there were some drunk girls going crazy, like screaming/singing and it was so loud...we just wanted to eat sushi without all the loud screaming. Sometimes singing IS NOT entertainment.
