We tried Kimono's Sunday and it was really very good. If you're a total sushi snob like us, it was great for our sushi fix. There is definitely better sushi at the top notch restaurants in our area, but it was very, very good and the prices were quite reasonable.

We don't do rolls, but they did look great. We had hamachi, conch, eel, spicy scallop and a few other things. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Beware of their version of spicy. They use habanero and it was WAY too much for us and we normally love spicy.

Had we had more time, we definitely would have gone back.

Love sushi, I'm not familiar with Kimono's, where is it?
Kimonos is at the Swan, and it is considered the best sushi restaurant on property. I have read nothing but positive reviews of the place. I am also somewhat of a sushi snob, and Kimonos is on my list of places to try.

Thanks, something new to try! I've grown tired of Disney dining as a whole, the Swan and the Dolphin seem to offer better dining opportunities. Our new favorite is Todd English's Blue Zoo at the Dolphin!

I agree. Even though we stayed at BC, we spent most of our quick meals at Picabu's and used the bar at Dolphin. We were sooo tempted to try Todd English's but with only 4 days and 3 teens who had zero desire, it didn't happen. Hopefully in July.

We also found the service at S/D sooo much better than any of the Disney eateries. The CM's were very pleasant, but EXTREMELY slow everywhere.

I tried sushi for the first time in my life at Kimonos 4 years ago and it was a life changer - I am now totally addicted to sushi!!! I hve never found sushi that beat Kimonos although we have a few local places that come close :)

We LOVE Kimonos! It is definately the best sushi in WDW, IMHO.

We also like the dining options at the Swolphin in general. BlueZoo has been our favorite dinner place since it opened. The Cabana is our favorite for lunch, Kimonos for sushi, Il Mulino for calamari, pizza & drinks, Garden Grove has some great weekday breakfasts, Fresh breakfast buffet

It seems like while Disney was dumbing things down for DDP, Swolphin was stepping up their game.

Darn, wish you told me about Il Mulino calamari sooner. We love looking for good calamari. Do they have a bar there for drinks and apps. We don't do many big sit down meals.

WoW, now that you mention dumbing things down for DDP, that makes sense. This was the most disappointed I've been in Disney food in a while. We don't do DDP, but obviously we'd still be effected. Hmmmm.
