So, we are approaching our adult only trip in a couple of weeks and I was thinking I would love to try something new. I know nothing about this place and would love some info from those of you helpful and knowledgable Disers who have been to Kimono's at the Swan.

DH & I love sushi:love:and were thinking a late night sushi snack here. Would we be able to just walk in and have a few sushi rolls one night or would we need to have ADRs for a late night snack? We were thinking around 9pm. Is this even possible? (We would like to arrange this for Saturday the 23rd of this month) So any help or suggestions are welcome.:goodvibes

We love Kimonos. We go at least once, often more, every trip.

Unless there's a conference or event, I think you'd have no problem getting in around 9pm for some sushi. I think they servev until midnight. We always walk in and have never had a problem finding table (or bar spots). We've been all times, all days of the week. The only time is was crazy was during super soap week. Had to sit at the bar, no tables left.

There's a tiny sushi bar on the left as you come in (maybe 6-8 spots), and another, slightly larger bar with tv (sports on usually) in the back...tables scattered about. Before it gets busy it is seat yourself. The time matters because before 9/9:30, it's a nice quiet bar. At 9:30 when the kareoke starts it's pretty loud and interactive. The sushi is great the whole time, and the service excellent. But the singing becomes the focus once it starts. That can be fun, or crazy, depending on your mood.

Be sure to check out the menu and photos on swandolphin.com We've also found chefs will make whatever you can describe if they have the fish/ingredients.

I'm not a huge sushi fan, but this is a great restaurant. I found plenty on the menu that made me happy. Service was great, atmosphere was great.

Wow....This sounds really nice. Thanks for posting!

By any chance, does anyone know if there is a kids club at the hotel so that I could sneak away with DH and surprise him with sushi?

I thought maybe cause it would be a Saturday night it could be crowded. I'm glad to hear we won;t need an ADR.

Are there 2 areas, bar and restaurant? Or are they both one in the same? It has 2 listed on the WDW site.

Can you recommend any good rolls listed or unlisted on the menu?
