What time of day do you think is best to go on this attraction to see the most animals?Or does it matter?I ask because I've advised several friends early morning is best time to go.Then I thougth whoa, that's the only time you've went, maybe you should get a few more opinions before giving that advice. Thanks Danny::yes:: :wave2:

I've been on one of the first safaris in the AM and one of the last before park closing. I have also been on one around 11am.

I, too, heard the same as you, that mornings were the best. And yes, we saw a lot of animals on the first safaris.

BUT...

Our best animal experience was on the last safari of the day (one of the last). We saw more elephants that trip AND the highlight was that the lions were actually far enough out of their lair on the rocks to get a good picture of them.

On the AM safaris, the lions were under the trees, in so much shade that the pictures just weren't very good.

On that last safari too, we had one of the rhinos pacing our truck. I am sure that probably can happen at other times of the day, too.

Everyone and their brother runs for the safari first thing...if we end up at AK inthe latter half of the day, I will always watch the parade from Harambe and then take the safari afterwards because that was an awesome experience.

Actually we got to be the first family of Kilimajro Safaris for the day it was neat we even got a certificate.

However, from any animal park I have been to AM is usually the best as the animals are more active in the morning when it is a bit cooler, in the afternoon they will be whereever there is shade and will not be actually roaming around.

I have done first in the morning and last of the day. I like last better. The animals know it is time to return to the barns and are moving in that direction! (Plus it is usually not very crowded at AK late!)

I think a lot depends on when you go. If it's summer, I think early morning is best. Our experiences so far:
1st trip: Summer: Mid-day,and we saw very few animals.
2nd trip: December: Mid-day, but a chilly day. Saw tons of animals!
3rd trip: Summer: Early morning: saw quite a few animals.

That's been our experience so far, so we're planning on early morning this trip.
