kilimanjaro safaris at walt disney world looks like somthing I want to see but the collasping bridge mentioned in my mini micky guide makes me a bit nervious. Is this a big deal? Ive got a 9 and 10 year old going with. IS this somthin we can do?

There is no issue with that bridge and that ride.

My niece (7) and nephew (10) had no problems with any part of the ride. They sat between me and my mom on the safari truck.

I seen children far younger on the ride. Parents were asked to seat kids in middle or something similar.

its "shakes" a tiny bit. It a special effect.

It is just an attraction. It is not real. If your kids do have a condition that would cause them to become upset or disturbed during the ride, you may want to evaluate whether or not to take them on the ride. Any ride that has a restriction will have it posted in the line for the ride and CM's will enforce it as well.

It's a fantastic ride! That portion of it takes about 10 - 15 seconds and the shaking doesn't really feel like a threat that you'll fall. The tour guide says something like "uh oh, this bridge looks old." *shake shake shake...truck moves forward* "Whew, we made it over. We're safe! Heck, look...hippos!" You and your family will do just fine!

I agree with the PPs. The bridge effect is short and while it could startle you if you're not ready, there's no sense that it's really going to collapse. My DD has been enjoying this ride since her first trip when she was 3.

Knew I could count on you guys. My youngest sis is a total animal lover so I didnt want to miss this (and I love Africa.). I thought that it was the part by the hippos but wasnt sure (I found a video online). Thanks so much!
