First went on KS in Jan and Dec 2000 when you were on a fake hunt for the poachers. Went again in 2004 just because we took guests with us. But I truly don't see going on it again. What's the attraction for repeat visitors? Has there been any talk of redesign or adding anything? Yes, I understand that the wild animals are part of the attraction, but.... you know... What could be done to make it better?

We've gone on Kilimanjaro Safaris twice in one day, and will gladly go back every chance we get. I have a hard time understanding how folks DON'T see the attraction of repeat visits! :) Good thing Disney provide lots of attractions, so there is something for everyone.

I sure hope they don't make any silly changes, like adding more of a storyline or taking anything away from the animals.

Didn't you know?? Disney has a REALLY bad poaching problem. That's why your driver is always after the poachers everytime you ride. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I agree the storyline does get a little old after awhile. But I would think that most people who ride it are riding it for the first time.

Those riding the attraction for the 20th time aren't paying much attention to the storyline -- they're paying attention to the animals! Either that, or they've having fun playing alone, just like at Jungle Cruise.

I hate to agree with Bicker but I'm not there for story line. We try to ride it at least twice a trip and we do it for the pics. Some of the attraction for me is the baby elephants. The last time last week we had a giraffe on the savannah nearly stick his head in the truck. If you pay attention you'll see that it's never the same twice.

The poacher story line is certainly not the reason to go on the ride - the animals are! I've lost count of how many times we have done it and we always love it. Wild animals aren't part of the attraction - they are the attraction.

I doubt KS will be changed anytime soon (though I wish they'd fix the Jeep effect).

I ride it whenever I get the chance. It is a different ride every time. Sometimes, I don't see that many animals. Other times, I see tons. I love it when they are right up close and personal to the truck.

Im really confused by you question about repreat value. If anything I would say that the Safari has the most repeat value of any attraction at WDW. It is the only attraction that is different everytime you ride.

It's all about the animals. It's probably our favorite attraction at WDW.

I could ride numerous times a day.. Who cares about the story? I LOVE seeing the animals.

No two Safaris are alike EXCEPT for the poacher part and I can pretty much ignore that. WHen we leave the reserve I pack my camera up for the return to the real world.

I can't imagine not riding the safari every trip, at least 3 times! I love it. After a while I block out the poaching backstory and enjoy the animals even more! Love, love, love the safari!

Heck YEAH!

I think that's all right what the first part of this-here notes is sayin'.
I done rode up on this safari deal darn-near ten times and no matter what ol' driver we git, he don't ever shoot no poachers.

Ya think that by ridin' around that pasture so many times they'd know that them poacher boys would be at the camp SOME time... but NOPE, they's high-tailed it outta there afore we all git to 'em ever time!

They outta just lock them gates and stand watch over 'em with a 10 guage. THAT otta learn 'em.

That's what we done down to our lake property. It works!

Or they could just get 'em with a SLING BLADE. UmmmHummm.

Lol, funny....

We love KS. Our girls are young so they get a kick out of figuring out about the story and that it's going be like before. The adults in our group like to rate the driver & his performance. Like most everyone else has said ... it's about the animals. We've only been charged by a rhino once ... we've only had a giraffe so close we could have touched it once ... the animal part changes every trip.

Even that's not always the same ... different drivers have vastly different ways of presenting the lines, some far more entertaining than others.

gotta agree with most...not really need to be changing it. in fact please don't... they'll probably put stich in it if they do, although that could be funny... stich gets eaten by lion and rancid smell wafts through the air.. but tramatic to the lil' ones ;)

Stitch eaten my a lion. :rotfl:

All the parents in the park would stampede to see the Safari -- I know I would.

There *is* one thing I want them to change - bring back the sub-Saharan CMs who used to drive the Safari trucks. That was so much better than having Mitch from Kentucky chauffeur people through the Serengeti...
