Kilimanjaro Safari-Is there any talk of redesign?

I do the Safari about 15 or so times a day, and I'm still not sick of it. I could look at those animals aaaaaaaaaall day. But every single time we have to cut it short.. darn poachers always show up. Wouldn't you think the reserve would have gotten a better gate by now? honestly!

and personally, i like the poachers scene at the end (pay no attention to the invisible jeep). it teachers children that these animals won't be here forever and we need to protect them.

ps - donate to the disney wildlife conservation fund - 100% goes to the animals. plugplug.

Well as the OP, I guess I'm in the minority. I accept that. I admit that the storyline is much more subtle now than it was when we rode it in 2000. The animals are great, maybe I've just not been lucky enough to see a lot of animals. Total # of times I've been on the ride, maybe 7. I did enjoy doing it with my neices and nephews on our big family trip. It was their first time at WDW and of course they loved the Safari.

Ok, you've won me over...

The Story is done to keep the people busy in case no animals would be around (during day time)... I go on KS as may times as I can on a AK visit, however always in the morning or evening to see the animals...

Once we had a driver who turned didn't play the spiel but instead gave tons and tons of information on the animals and the park. This was the best visit I had...

AK; is not all about the rides, there is so much more to see.
AK. Imagineering masterpiece!
