We went on the safari ride today and had trouble seeing and photographing the elephants because there was some kind of screening/fence up between us and them. Does anyone know why?

Other than that it was an awesome ride and we saw lots of animals. The driver also stopped so we could take pictures.

Thanks!

We were told by our driver that screening is used when a baby or new animal needs to get acclimated. Apparently it helps them get used to the enclosure first, then they are exposed to the trucks.

I'm surprised to hear it's still up. The screens were up last August 2015 when we were there too.

I've been on the ride several times throughout the year and fid not see the screen. I was not there last August, but was October, December, January, February, March & June. I am going back Saturday, hope it isn't there then.
