Kids under 3 don't count in room total, right?

I assume since this is true of all other Disney resorts that it's the same case at DVC properties. If not, can someone fill me in? I'm looking to rent points for a studio (we're a family of five, but have infant twins who will be 15 months old at time of travel--other child is 6) and want to make sure that's allowed.

We just got back from staying at the BWV. We were a group of 6 staying in a 1 bedroom vacation home which is supposed to sleep 4. But 2 of the kids were under 3. So it was 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 infants. We had no problems at all. They registered all of us.

You are right, 4 allowed with an infant under 3. I can't imagine they would care if the family had two infants.

I think you will be fine. The stated occupany is 4 with one infant under 3.

For those interested since this comes up often and is a hot topic. I found out recently from a friend in resorts how occupancy levels are determined. It truely does not have anything to do with the room size as we all know a one bedroom villa is much larger than a studio. Fire code occupany levels are determined by the number of beds in the room and the safe number of occupants that can escape from sleep in case of a fire. It is also based on how many beds per resort (which equals a certain number of people) that can evacuate hallways, stairwells, and walkways safely in an emergency. For an example there are over 1200 rooms at AKL, if even 1/4 of those rooms had one person over the limit, that adds 300 extra people trying to get out in an emergency.

With infants they want an adult to be there to be responsible for getting the infant out. Since you will have 2 adults I do not see any problems.

I don't see an occupancy limit problem with your party, either.

Assume you already know what bedding is provided - two queens and a portable crib if you are staying at OKW. If you are at BWV, BCV, VWL or SSR, you'll find 1 queen bed and a sleep sofa plus the portable crib.

The portable cribs are the Pac 'n Play variety. If you call Housekeeping, they will bring you another portable crib or an almost full size metal crib. You can also request bed rails if you want/need them.

Have fun!

Two weeks ago I rented some points to a family with twins. It was three adults and the twins are under three. I tried to get them a studio at OKW. I was told no. I don't know why. I had to get them a one bedroom instead.
