Kids too old to enjoy cruise at 11 and 13?

Lol this reminds me of how on our last cruise we were chatting with a couple that said they had left the kids at home with grandma and I turned to DH and said maybe we should try that sometime, and my twins simultaneously screamed NOOOooOooOo!!!!

Before our last cruise in February we had sailed 23 times...4 times without our kids (now 25 and 22). In February we all went, along with DS's girlfriend, this was her first cruise. Just 2 months later DS got us back for the times we went alone over the years and him and his GF went back without us. I pretty much screamed the same as your kids.

Just another point to show the kids who liked it in the younger years, loved it in their tween/teen years, still enjoy it into their 20s.

A 13 year old boy and 11 year old girl will have fun on a Disney cruise, particularly their first Disney cruise, when it's all new. I say that as a mom and as a teacher with a lot of experience working with kids of both ages.

As others have said, no they are not too old. My daughter was 11 on our last cruise and loved it so much. She spent a ton of time in Edge and at the soft serve ice cream machine (she double fisted cones at one point).

She is 14 now and super excited for our next cruise in Oct as she's finally aged into Vibe.

That is my kids. They grew up going to the parks and the cruise and they still love them all now. They are 20 & 21 and my oldest wanted to go to WDW for her 21st birthday and she picked the cruise for her HS graduation trip. My youngest picked Aulani for her HS trip. I am going on the Wish without them this fall and they are not happy about it. LOL

My daughter is 13 and I feel like she loves the cruises even more now than she did when she was younger. She just didn't like the clubs for younger kids but she LOVES Edge. I think it's the perfect age because it's a great place for them to flex their independence a little bit.

My kid was 11 on our last cruise and loved it. We love all the game shows, entertainers and special events. Many of the character things are just more fun than a meet and greet too - we had a fabulous time at a dance party in the atrium.

The themed cruises are also really fun - we did a Star Wars one and all of those elements were unique too. Definitely not the sort of thing you can do at the parks.

We are trying a Halloween cruise on the Wish in the fall - kid is now 13 and looking forward to it!

We started cruising DCL when they were 10 and 13. They are now 34 and 37 and we are planning cruises with grands. They loved the kids clubs and truly became each other's "wing man" when ages allowed them to both be in teen club.

Love this...this is us as well. We were on the MV of the Magic with our 3 kids who were 14, 13 and 10 and they were all Platinum before they were adults. They are all grown with their own kids now and still love cruising with Disney. We have brought our other 4 grands on DCL and they loved it and now we are going with our newest granddaughter who is 14 months and we are so excited for her first DCL!!! I love seeing it all again through their eyes.
