Kids to bring a friend or not...

We are going to WDW in Jan 07, another family was suppose to join us, but backed out and the last minute. Now wondering if we should invite a friend for my 13yr old? But they would have to miss 4 days of school and buy plane ticket and park tickets... would u let your child go?

Tough question! I think you might get better responses on the Family Board so you may want to repost your question.

JMO, but I think if you invite another child along, you are somewhat expected to pay for part of their trip. Some people may tell you that you are expected to pay for all of it. Anyway, I guess it would depend on who you would ask, how well you know the parents etc. It may be too short notice for some families.
